So I got all excited about cappuccino juice today, and since I had no cap carts I decided to wash one out.

Being that I've mainly had menthol carts and successfully managed to mix clove, vanillia, mint and menthol with them I had never washed a cart out before. Mostly I just poured water into it until it didn't smell minty anymore.
I poked at it with a toothpick after blowing out water to make sure it wasn't still wet and filled.

I shook, rattled, and rolled the cart to make sure I had good distribution, and went to vape. Didn't work. The carto got warm, it made a bit of a sizzle sound (as my refills usually do), checked the battery end to make sure there was no liquid, poked a needle through to make sure the thingie was centred, and still no luck.

Did I bust up the carto some how? Is it repairable? I'd hate to think I wasted all of that juice 8-olol.
Thanks guys!

Sounds like an overfill to me. Try blowing through the mouthpiece end while holding a tissue under the battery end, wiping the battery end clean of fluid, and then give it another shot. Draw gently and slowly to avoid getting juice in your mouth.

While filling, if you see any liquid inside the center tube, it's flooded.

I had a carto(different brand but same style insides) that I didn't realize I had killed until after refilling it and if you don't want to waste the juice you put in it take a pair of tweezers and pull the wadding out of the carto and push it down into one of the rubber end caps that come on them and then you can squeeze the juice out into another carto with a minimal of a mess or waste.

I just lost about half of my cartos because I rinsed them (well, actually soaked them). Popped all the caps, threw them in a bowl of water, let sit for an hour, blew them out, aired for 4 days. When refilling, half were fine, the others sizzle but no vapor. I then tried half fills to make sure it wasn't flooding, same thing same ratio. Maybe a quick rinse is ok, but I won't be cleaning them again.

You missed an important step; let it rest awhile so the liquid has time to be absorbed evenly throughout the fabric.

This is true of washed and new empty cartomizers.

Refills (which were being used and havn't been washed) don't need this step because theyre already primed..but leaford is correct in that clean dry carts need to sit overnight typically (you can get away with less but i'm not positive how much less) or you'll just roast them and get no vape.

Someone will almost without a doubt suggest dripping down the battery hole to prime..but that's a mistake. Letting it naturally soak and prime leads to longer cart life.

The battery hole is like (hmm what body part to compare it to..)
An ear! it's neither an entrance nor an exit and definately not somewhere to stick stuff! lol..

^ Good idea.

While I have vaped immediately after refilling with no issues, is it just cause I rinsed it? This part is new to me. It's still non-working as of this moment so I may have to resort to mooshing out the liquid.

Mooshing (verb) To Moosh; The act of squashing something squishy untill it oozes stuff.

There's a word I don't use nearly enough :D

not to be confused with "mush" which is the end product of mooshing something that should not have been mooshed, or something that does not respond well to mooshing.

oh and "moshing" which only results in Mooshing or Mush if you get dropped and it's standing room only and the band starts throwing articles of clothing in the Mosh pit.

((Sorry, I really really really couldn't resist! HAHAHA!)) workin on no sleep and somehow "mooshing" got me giggling and i ran with it.

After rinsing a different carto, letting it dry for over a day (I forgot about it for a little bit), I refilled it and OMG it's heaven. I'm in love with capp carts!

And KC, thank you for that. I lol'd all the way through it. I love running with sleep-dep rants.

its a strange thing, the longer i go without sleep the funnier i get..and i don't really try..it just happens. My guess is that my rational, common sense centers of my brain get worn out and cant restrain my comical areas which normally are crushed down into submission by the rational bits...I rarely go without sleep unless I'm working, but it happens. When i do end up sleep deprived, I'm kinda annoying to be around...I can find something funny in places i really shouldn't lol.
