I have a atty that was a little difficult to get the primer taste out of it and I soaked it in rubbing alcohol for about 2 hours. After a good rinse out and blow out then about 24 hours drying it has great taste and makes awesome vapor now. The only problem is I just screwed it on and the outer casing (metal tube part) all came loose. Anyway this one is an absolute vapor champ so I'm gonna put some superglue on it real careful like hehe.
So my question is do you think it came apart due to manufacturing defect or from the really long bath?

Update- Wow superglue is some fast and solid stuff! I guarantee that isn't coming apart again. Still works just the same, and a lot easier to take off just the cart to top off now.

PS- I think I might need to switch to cartos I used attys and carts just fine for over 2 months and now I seem to be burning filler constantly and screwing up just about anything anyway possible the last couple of days.

I would say the prolonged bath did it. If you look up the properties of Isopropyl Alcocol on the net ......" Isopropyl alcohol removes smudges, dirt, and fingerprints from cell phones and PDAs. It is effective at removing residual glue from some sticky labels although some other adhesives used on tapes and paper labels are resistant to it. It can also be used to remove stains from most fabrics, wood, cotton, etc. Isopropyl alcohol is also used to remove brake fluid traces from hydraulic disk brake systems, so that the brake fluid (usually DOT 3, DOT 4 or mineral oil) does not contaminate the brake pads, which would result in poor braking. In addition it can also be used to clean paintballs or other oil based products so that they may be reused, commonly known as "repainting".

It is a great product and very versitile but needs to be used with care, just like other household chemicals.

Well the superglue is still holding perfect. This addy seems to be one of the best vapor producers I've had and for some reason seems to have better flavor too. I hope it hold out for awhile this is one I really want to last. I think any more cleanings with this one will probably have to be a just a quick hot water rinse, or maybe best to just occasionally blow it out.
