Just a quick G'day an update.

I saw my Gastro specialist today and my Xrays show 2 small lumps in my esophagus that might have cuased the GORD that i am suffering, I am scheduled for an Endoscopy in 2 weeks to see if it is cancer or just an ulcer.

As you can guess i am REALLY hoping it is just 2 ulcers in my esophagus as ulcers are lesser of the 2 evils to treat and deal with.

thanks everyone, i really! appreciate all you kind words of support :)

By the way my endoscopy showed that i have Hiatus hernia & Gord ....Hiatus hernia is a protrusion of a portion of the stomach across the opening in the diaphragm that the esophagus normally passes through ...So in other words part of my stomach is in my chest and is causing me ALOT of discomfort and pain ...ooooh gosh you wouldn't believe the hell! i am going through :(:(

My gastrologist doctor is going to help me get through this so hopefully he can help me or otherwise surgery will be neccercery to tuck my stomach back in and close the breach in my gut that started this whole nightmare in the first place. I prefer not! to have surgery and just try and fix this mess by other means like medications and alternative methods because this type of surgery to repair hiatus hernia is very dangerous and risky.

Anyway if i am not on very much at the moment you understand why.

Big hugs!!! to all :)~Rick

Wow Rick..... well, the hernia is probably causing some of the GERD to act up, because it's funnelling stomach acid up into the esophagus and irritating the lining.

Don't wanna alarm ya, but surgery is probably the option that'll work best for you. Your stomach's tissues have torn and/or stretched at the point where the hernia formed, and they're not going to get better with a natural or non-invasive procedure.

Take care of you, Rick....

:( I hope you're wrong Vick, and yes! you just alarmed me (eEk!) Lol. No but seriously there are other alternatives in remedying this situation because i have a sliding hiatus hernia, if it was a rolling hernia then i would have a very big problem and surgery would be my only resort in a case like that ....I also have Eosinophilic Oesophagitis, which means i am allergic to something, some kind of food ....My Gastro doctor took tissue samples of my oesophagus and Duodenum and the results of those tests will tell us more in the next 4 days or so.

Emerald people please please eat well and exercise because this can happen to anybody and it's unpleasent when it does believe me. I've lernt my lesson that's for sure ....I'm exercising everyday for 2 hours and eatting NOTHING! but healthy foods and vitamins.

Never!!! again will i let my body suffer through such pain and torment now i have experienced this.

Rick....Good to hear it was not as bad as it could have been...Hope you can avoid going under the knife!! I am going to have to google your ailment...that is one type of hernia I am not familiar with! My best to you...keep us updated!!The Wiz!
Yeah it could have been worse Wiz, your right mate ....Now i just have to correct the problem i do! have inside me and never look back ....easier said than done at the moment though the way i feel right now lol.

thanks Wiz :)~Rick
