No experinence?? Read above, one of the "banner" posters dosen't even have the VK yet is recomending it!!!

The other banner poster, the one with the dog, do a seach of their past posts. 90% of them talk about VK and "Steve" at VK.

So i stick with my comment that its fishy that 2 people with banners #1 who doesn't have the product and #2 who's whole purpose to be here is to promote the product.

Why are none of the mods, like the prodogy, janty stick NONE based on the VK cartomizer if its so great??

The reason 90% of my posts has to do with the VK is because that is what I use! That is what got me off analogs! My first was a "lil white", a 3 piece that I won't compare to others since I have no experience with others. I still smoked analogs with that model. It didn't have the throat hit, vapor or ease of use that the VK has.

Sorry if I haven't tried 10 models but I'm extremely satisfied with the VK and yes, the carts really do last HOURS and HOURS. I've had some (small number) last ONLY a couple of hours. Most last at least 5-8 hours of HEAVY near constant vaping on a PT.

I used to smoke about a pack a day and I go through about 2 carts a day. Yes, I went through more when I first started because I started with nic that was too low. Once I got it right, I average 2 carts a day. Smoked ultra light cigs, now use 16mg carts. Once in a while I use 24 mg carts.

My purpose here is to share my experience. V4L has been good to me so it's only fair that I return the favor. I always sound like a walking commercial when I find something that actually WORKS. Go ahead, ask me about what to use to get rid of cat urine smell or how to get rid of fleas, ticks etc, and you'll see I'm as passionate about those products as I am the VK.

Don't knock something until you've tried it. I'm only giving my opinion which is what the OP asked for. If you don't like it, you don't have to buy it or use it. But don't knock people for giving their opinion when that's what they've been asked for.

Don't get pissy with me when you and the VK club get called out, for being a bit less than impartial reviewers.

You are being utterly ridiculous. Are you actually suggesting that happy VK users cannot recommend the VK because, being happy users of the VK, they may not be "impartial" enough? Come on already....

I suggesting someone that has a banner for some product might not be impartial...

Well no kidding. Do you expect someone with a banner for a product that they love to highly recommend products that they don't? This isn't Consumer Reports magazine, props.

I drive a Dodge, but do you see a Dodge banner? I eat Pop-Tarts, do you see a Kellogs banner..
What does your choice of cars and breakfasts have to do with electronic cigarettes?

I dunno, I don't have one. But there were the issues with the cartomizers on there. The fact that you can burn them out seems to me to be an issue..

The guy in the video can't be that big of a dumb$%#, there must be a reason. It even said to wait a few hours on the manufactures website...

I've seen people pull off the other end from reviews I've watched today. But its a plastic on plastic piece, remove it to many times and it starts to get sloppy and falls out?

Today I got the PT for my 801. 801 on 5V and dripping 36 mg. Let me tell you, you if I had a cam and did a video, you couldn't see me.

So yeah I looked at the "cartomizer", it puts out vaper, but my 801 puts out more. From another review he said some carts only last 5 mins... Plus 15 drops that all the reviewers are filling their carts with IS NOT GOING TO LAST ALL DAY!! 15 drops = 0.75ml. NO ONE VAPES THAT LITTLE IN A DAY. That would mean 30 ml would last you 40 days LOL.

Pick what you want, but I made my argument, and I won't be getting a cart-o-mizer anytime soon.

Ummm... props... you're kinda preaching to the choir.

I personally have tried the KR808D-1 (VK actually) and am still a daily vaper on my 510.

In my opinion, you get more life out of 15 drops in a cartomizer (VK style, not the GreenCig) because it is simply burning less liquid on a "per drag" basis. And, as such, it typically generates less vapor (comparing apples to apples.. same batteries, same liquid). And it appears to have a slightly higher coil resistance than my 510 (which goes hand-in-hand with vapor production), so you tend to get more battery life as well.

So that being said, if you can live with less vapor production.. then as a benefit you get more "use" between refills and you will get longer battery life. Simple logic, makes perfect sense.

(And before anybody jumps me regarding my "same battery" comment.. I use my VK cartomizers on my 510 batteries via an adapter. I went 12+ days without a VK-style battery, and now my PCC is on the fritz so I can't charge my new VK battery anyway)

Hello catwoman,

if you don't mind me asking, where did you buy your 510 from and how much? Thanks a million!

I would have to disagree with Props76. The Vapor King is not an 801, it is a KR808D-1 made by Konger and one of the best e cigs going. I have seversl plus the 510 and they are voted the best two on the market. Look thru the forum and you can verify this for yourself:)

Hello catwoman,

if you don't mind me asking, where did you buy your 510 from and how much? Thanks a million!

I bought mine in the form of a Janty Dura-C at Jantyusa.com. It was $58, which I saved for about 3 months. Money is tight here since DH suffered two heart attacks, a stroke, and quad bypass leaving him unable to work anymore.

My beginning was a bit rough because I still had nicotine withdrawals until I bought a low-cost bottle of 48mg unflavored nicotine liquid. I bumped up the nic levels to get through the bumpy times like first thing in the morning, noon, then before bed. By the first 10 days or less, I was completely off analog cigarettes, which tickled my doctor to no end because the wheezes and crackles in my chest were gone. He went so far as to wish all his smoking patients would switch to the e-cigarettes. I left him copies of documents written by some of the finest medical minds in the world and in this country. He's on board with it esp considering my results. I see this doctor every month because I have to have lupus check ups.

The e-cigs have made the flares not as frequent nor are they as dibilitating as before but don't think it's a cure-all. I still have lupus and it's painful, debilitating even but since I've left the analogs behind for the e-cigs, it seems the flares have become more tolerable.

I tend to stick to the same places when buying e-liquids and parts and such. Mostly it's Good Prophets, My Freedom Smoke, Ecig Mall, Rocky Mountain Vapor, and several others. Check the sponsor suppliers at the top of this page and you can find those and many others. All have been kind, courteous, and wonderful to do business with. I've even began working on mixing my own liquids thanks to the DIY store. I have this cute little case that puts all my liquids and items I need in it to keep it in one place. It was a plus from the DIY Store.

The 510/Dura-C models are durable yet dainty. It's why I believe it works well for a woman or a man. The kit from Jantyusa.com comes with 2 batteries (manual or auto; I chose manual), 2 atomizers (the one with Janty written on the band is warrantied, meaning Janty will replace it if it goes bad), and a 5-pack of cartridges pre-filled but can also be refilled. Mine came with RY4, which I love! It also has a wall outlet recharger for the batteries. It's a lot of bang for the buck IMHO and at a great price compared to the ones that cost hundreds of dollars. There are many e-liquid stores that have great flavors. I find now that I love the fruity like flavors and esp the double-strength flavors from My Freedom Smokes. It also allows me to stretch the liquid if I get stuck and can't afford to buy e-liquid. All I have to do is add a bit of PG or VG and a little nicotine liquid and I have twice as much e-liquid and it can get me through until I can save enough to buy more.

If you have anymore questions, please feel free to PM me. Oh, another good one is the Janty Stick. Others will have to tell you about the 801 and 901 and the series M and such. I only know that I've tried and used the Janty Dura-C (c means manual) which is the same thing is a 510 and Joye 510 and the Yenti along with the Janty Stick, which btw has an 801 atomizer in it. Both are great units and both offers great vapor and throat hit. When using the right strength e-liquid, you no longer have the withdrawal symptoms. That's my favor, well second to favorite part. My favorite part is that it keeps my lupus flares at a minimum and the flares themselves are not nearly as debilitating as they were before. It's not all great and I still have the disease but it doesn't usually get way out of control. The more I can stay out of a hospital where I can't smoke, the better I am.

WOW!

Thank you all so much for your feedback. I have to say that I am loving the active community on this site, and I can't wait to experience the health benefits. Lord knows that my chest crackles... I'm 24 and I want to live as long as I can, but I've tried damn near everything to quit. E-cigs may be as close as I ever get to quitting without driving myself insane.

So....

I am now down to 2 models:

VaporKing
801

I think I am going to go with the VaporKing because I am tickled by all of the controversey on the site about it. I will make sure to post my results. Also, I would love to know what "dripping" is. I don't think I am really into that idea since I don't like the idea of sitting around and dripping drops of juice into my cigarette. I would rather just pop a cartridge in and smoke. I hear that the cartridges are refillable, and I probably will refill mine.

So, with that in mind, I am going to toss my final questions out there:

  • What is dripping? Why would I want to drip?
  • For the VK owners out there:
    • What's the biggest downside of the VK?
    • How much do you spend on cartridges per month?
    • What flavors should I try?
    • Where do you order your e-juice?
    • Any recommendation for the switch from analog to digital?
I am honored and amused to have started a genuine flamewar.

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR INPUT :)! I will make sure to let everyone know how it goes for me. If anyone has any follow-up ideas, please feel free to toss them up here for me, especially ideas for someone who is going to start vaping, using a vaporking.
