crowntuner says:Here are the features I would like:

  • Direct USB power. The greensmoke has a USB e-cig that you hook the atomizer up to instead of a battery. I really like this feature and I'm not interested in building my own. I would also like to be able to use it on battery power, but it's important to me to be able to just use the electricity from the wall.
The Janty Stick (JS) has a charging cable the double as a passthrough. I have a usb wall plug and a car plug rated at 1amp. Good when stationary and when in the car so when you leave the battery is fully charged. I've never run down a JS battery but they give you an extra one which I take along just in case.
  • TONS OF SMOKE. I want to quit analogs, so I want the experience to be as close to analogs as possible.
Again the JS puts out lots of vapor and the experience is as close to smoking than any other ecig even with the vapor machine - the 510 for it's mini size. JS is an easy draw and tons of vapor. Using a few drops of ecopure - VG - even enhances the cloud.
  • Dead Simple. The thing I liked most about the greensmoke was that I knew I would not need to change an atomizer (since they are included with each cartridge of e-juice.) I don't want to have to fiddle around with things.
The JS is a manual so you're in control of the battery not visa versa. It's an 801 cartridge - biggest ecig cartridge so the fill ups are less frequent. No fussing on refills - just add juice to the cart and continue vaping. Although you can drip with the JS as the battery is sealed and it is offline - along side the atomizer so it is compact as well - the best 'stealth vape' and completely held in the palm.
  • Quality. I would like to buy something that is going to last me.
Janty has one of the best warranties in the business - I have 5 - I had to send one back and the replacement got here before I shipped the one back. The JS has a plastic case - much to do has been made about that by the metal mod fans but I've never had a problem with the case - it's what I take out to mow the lawn because you still can see the vapor in the wind. :) and it has a very secure carrying case that comes with it.
  • Established Brand. I don't want to be unable to get atomizers or cartridges down the line.
Janty is well established in the business.

I've bought from both:

$79.99 (lower than the metal mods that can go well over $100).

Janty Stick V2 - dietSMOKES.com
wow. out of stock

Janty USA - JANTY STICK SET
20 left

No matter what you get it's a good idea to have plenty of atomizers on hand. The JS takes many types - 801, 4072, BE112 and there's adapters for the 510, (306) and 901

I like the BE112's:

Standard e-cigarettes atomizers, 5pcs pack

Lots of folks are recommending the VaporKing at v4L...but that is not a pen style e-cig is it? I love my DSE801. Lots of vapor and great throat hit. And I bought the USB passthrough...definitely gives better, even vapor than the battery does. Get manual batt instead of auto. The carts are easier to refill on the 801 also.

Depending on how dry it is, anywhere from 19-30 drops.

So 3 drops per smoke so 6-10 smokes per refilled cart... Ok..

Sorry I'm haveing a hard time believing that becaue getting a few mins off an 801 cart is hard.. Makes me sceptial of any other claims. But you are right I have never tried.

So I'll buy that your Vk is better for carts (it can't be worse than the 801 LOL). But for low cost, with still lots of vape, the 801/901/501 would be the way to go?

I don't know anything about the 801 or 901. My only experience has been with the 510 and the VK. As I said, I didn't like the 510 because I don't have the patience to be sitting there fiddling with it 20 times a day just for a nic fix. lol.

The VK isn't the cheapest way to go I'm sure. But when you factor in the the savings with refilling the carts, it can't be too much more expensive than most other popular models.

I'm having a hard time believing the claims of how long VK cartomizers last, but I ordered one today so we'll see.

There is virtually no difference in "ease" between a 510, 801 or 901. They are all very popular models (510 and 901 being the most popular, in that order), and there is very little difference between them.

If you're looking for ease, one of those is definitely not the way to go, however I strongly recommend a 510 for all of the other reasons you mentioned. You can get a USB passthrough for just about any PV you choose.

From everything I've read on these forums for the past couple months, you should definitely try a VK. They are certainly easier to use than any of the "big 3" and I hear the throat hit and flavor is amazing.

Don't let props' uninformed price example turn you off. After three pages of this thread, he is still ignoring the fact that you can fill them up, and don't have to throw out 2 cartomizers every day.

After 3 pages, I thought you would understand that my main issue is you can't drip with them and carts suck (to me, not having tried the VK) for the same reason you state "I'm having a hard time believing the claims..."

Please remeber this thread and get back after you tried the VK..

I started with a greensmoke. Its pricy, and in hindsight, I would have been better off spending the money on more 510 stuff. But the USB PT for the greensmoke is one serious vapor machine. The cartomizers are good, not great, but you can add more fluid to them after you deplete one. The thing is the flavor of GS carts is not great, sort of all taste the same, and you cannot get blank ones. If you add juice you will still have the original flavor too. The batts are pretty good in terms of lasting between charges, depending on how you vape, but the actual vapor production is not as advertised. It isn't, as one reviewer said, a vapor monster. It cuts off well before you get a great hit. The PT, however, IS a vapor monster. At $50, though, it better be. I actually got two GS kits (one from GS and one from an independent seller for $110), but this was before I looked into 510s, and while I was convinced the GS was the best. It isn't. If you do not want to think about adding your own fluid, not worrying about pressing a manual battery button for a hit, and want a nice neat system with little risk of sticky mess, then the GS is good.

I wanted more hands on experience, and I wanted to make my own juices (being a chemist!), so I went with the 510 system. I say "system" because that is what you are buying. I have different batts and attys from different vendors and they all are compatible. I make my own juices now from high-nic unflavored with VG and Lorann flavors. I have PTs, as well as batts. I adore the flavor I get from my 510 (although I've heard the 510 "kills" flavor, so there might be better out there for that). Great vapor. Definitely making juices is quite fun, but rather messy. Get used to having a paper towel with you. I do like the way the 510s look too...I have black, copper, and blue. I want to get the wine colored ones from Heavens Gifts.

The GS looks like a cigarette, which in the beginning seemed a selling point...I mean logically the more it looks like a cigarette, the more convinced the brain will be it is smoking, right? Wrong. For me vaping is WAY better than smoking, and it is NOT really like smoking! It is vaping, and the brain is very happy with that! I don't want cigarettes anymore, I want to vape my caramel or apple or toffee or mint. I don't like the taste of burned tobacco anymore (that happened by about day 2). Smoking cigarettes is now to me very antiquated and backwards, not because I want to quit and that is how I should think, but because vaping is much much better pleasure-wise. Very decadent and satisfying.

The point is this: the only real way to learn about what is best for you is to just buy a couple of types and find out. No type is perfect, all have downsides, all have advantages. It is not likely you will be able to really predict what is right based on your current smoking habits, since all that changes after you start vaping. Thinking about it in terms of # of analogs per cart is not meaningful after you start vaping. A better gauge is vaping-time before needing to change batts or a cart, and that will depend on your vaping habits, which are not necessarily your smoking habits. Make a choice, start vaping ASAP, learn, read, watch vids, read some more, window shop online. Then you will know what to buy after that, as you will likely want to buy more.

Have fun, enjoy, and vape strong!

I find it odd that all of the support for this model comes at once, and 2 of the supportes just happend to have a huge VK banner.

I have a VK banner because I wanted to keep track of how long I have been vaping. I don't own a VK yet but it's on order. Since one the guys on the VK forum created the banner, I felt it was wrong to remove the V4L link.
I own the following models; 4081, 510 ,801, VP1, little chuck, 2 janty sticks and I am still looking for the perfect match for me.

BS on it going for hours without refilling, you are starting to sound like e-smokeing.

It says on their site 15 drops to refill the thing. Fine. To me 3 drops, dripped is 1 smoke (and no its not leaking down my hand, and if it wasn't being all vaped, my 801 would be getting mighty ful by now). So 15 drops if the thing sucks the cart dry is 5 smokes. Not my idea of going "hours", but hey you might be a light smoker.

Better yet, at 5 smokes per cart, this guys is going to need 5 carts to make it through the day, if he was a pack a day smoker. $7.48 to $12.99. Dunno, about you but I don't have $224 to 389 to spend on carts each month.

One of the videos of the V4L forum shows a user that was refilling his cartomizer for the 10th time, 20 drops to fill. Probably some get more, some get less, just like a regular atomizer in any model,

Remeber the OP said he was a heavy smoker...

I was trying to answer the OP in consideration of the qualities he said he wanted in a e-cig. I'm not knocking any other model but he was very specific as to what he was looking for. Maybe any extra cost is worth it to the OP as a trade off for the convenience. We are all still allowed to post an opinion based on the question asked, aren't we?

Sorry I opened my mouth now.. And this will be my last time in the new members forum for sure. I will stick to other more advanced parts of the forum from now on.

No experinence?? Read above, one of the "banner" posters dosen't even have the VK yet is recomending it!!!

The other banner poster, the one with the dog, do a seach of their past posts. 90% of them talk about VK and "Steve" at VK.

So i stick with my comment that its fishy that 2 people with banners #1 who doesn't have the product and #2 who's whole purpose to be here is to promote the product.

Why are none of the mods, like the prodogy, janty stick NONE based on the VK cartomizer if its so great??

Props, get a life. The OP asked for recommendations and that's all we were giving him, just the same way you gave your recommedation. He will have to make up his own mind.

Please give it a rest or buy him an 801 yourself so you will be happy.

I just order vk, they didn't have all of the carts I wanted to try. Are you saying you can order carts from cigeasy and they will work on the vk??

Yes they will! Also the ones you get at several other vendors. As long as it is for the kr808d-1 it will work...nebula, vk, zeus etc! They are all kr808d-1's and the connections are the same. :)

No I'm going to recommend a 601 e-pipe with the screwdriver mod, why the heck not? Just like your recommendation I've never used one either!!

Don't get pissy with me when you and the VK club get called out, for being a bit less than impartial reviewers.
