Hi all, Yes im New, Been reading and learning. Took the step and bought a MOD, or two :) I just got some batteries I ordered, 2 AWR 18490's and 2 MNKE 18650 1500 MAH.

1st Issue: MNKE battery package said it was ICR 2600 mah. Inside the package the battery says IMR 1500 . Both batteries read 3.72 out of the box, And that is what I expected. ...?

2nd Issue: The 2 AWR 18490's look ok. Checked them on my meter, one at 4.2??? Full charge out of the package? Can this be? 2nd battery read 3.23. dead. Hmmm not to thrilled about the quality now?

So I guess I am asking....are these issues normal? Or did I get a swindler selling crap batteries? Pictures below

Thanks all

It's best to order mod batteries from trusted, authorized battery vendors like RTD Vapor and Orbtronics.

You are always taking a risk ordering from Amazon, Ebay, and the like. Lesson learned.

You take a risk ordering from anywhere. I order from certain sellers on Ebay and have had no issues. But then I only deal with sellers with high feedback and no less than a 98% positive feedback. I like a 100% but sellers who sell thousands of items are going to make a mistake. If I look at feedback and they have sold 1000 items in the last 6 months but have one negative, that does not concern me at all. If they have 6 negs in the last month I look elsewhere. Amazon is the same way, just learn the feedback system. this particular seller has 80 negatives in the last year. I would have run away like my @$$ was on fire.

2 of the 4 batteries I purchased are now dead and will not charge. Got a load of crap from eBay seller. That should teach me. r-lsales in Utah. Don't buy from them

You definitely received a load of crap ... I have seen that seller on Ebay but have never purchased from him, nor have I purchased batts from any other Ebay seller. I have heard that there are some reputable battery vendors on Ebay (from battery testers/reviewers), but again I haven't purchased from any. Sorry that this happened to you, and I suggest that you open a Paypal claim asap and get your money back. Like Badtitude said go over to Orbtronics and get yourself some good batteries.

Also look at what they've been selling. If their high rating came from selling thousands of keychains and now they are suddenly selling TV's, watch out.

Hello Everybody!
I have purchased a lot of batteries from r-lsales in utah. If you buy name brands like Samsung, Efest and Panasonic you will have better luck. I would contact them and ask if they will help you. I month ago I bought some Efest 18500 batteries from them. When I got them one of them was damaged. I got in touch with them and sent them a photo of the damaged battery. They sent a replacement right a way.

Baditude is talking about vendors with known supply chains (RTD Vapor and Orbtronics; Lighthound is also a reliable source). An eBay seller can have a great feedback record, but if you don't know the supply chain, I wouldn't buy batteries there.

+1 for RTD Vapor a premier vendor for batteries: price quality and customer service.

I was going to order my batteries from RTD and had even reached the end of the create account form where I couldn't create an account without giving my phone number. Why do they insist on having my phone number? Checked out the terms of service and found this ->"The risk of loss and title for all merchandise ordered on this Web site pass to you when the merchandise is delivered to the shipping carrier."
What nonsense.
Ordered from orbtronic. Free shipping and in the mail in 18 hours.

Thanks for all the input. The EBay vender said a lot to me. Most was BS about customs, packaging and such. When a seller tells you he forgot to remove the questionable packaging before you item was sent, that sets off alarms to me.

Yes he did offer to make it right. But for $10 batteries? Cheaper and less hassle to just let it go and do better next time.

Also, he told me MNKE shut their doors months ago and I should order a better name brand because the MNKE on the market now are all fakes. REALLY??? Why do you sell them labeled as original then????

Ok I am done. Thanks all :)

I use vendors on Amazon with good ratings. (Orbtronics has an Amazon store, too, by the way.)

I hate having to return products, but I like the way it's done with Amazon. Log in, click on returns, print out your return label, and your replacement is on its way (or your refund is processed) right away. No staying on hold, no runaround, no BS.

Odd. Their corporate website says nothing about being out of business.
