Not quite sure what you are quoting but don't use batteries if they get hot and definitely do not go over the continuous discharge. That is just asking for horrible, horrible trouble. Get some decent 18650 batteries and always build UNDER the amp limit.

Fixed that, I know what you meant though.

Anyway, this battery su***. Works for the first 10 minutes then stops producing vapor. Dont really "stops", but decays too much.

Well.... yeah! It's an 18350 pulling more current than it is rated for... it'll push 700mA for 1 hour continuous. 1.4A for 30 minutes. 2.1A for 15 minutes. 2.8A for 7.5 minutes.
You are probably pulling somewhere around 15A, but we have no idea because we know nothing about your build... 5 wraps. Of what wire? What did you wrap it around?

Hello, MrVP! ** waves **:)

What happened?:( You were blowing such wonderful clouds on your Kayfun Lite+ last weekend. And using your Evic to read the resistance of your coils. Everyone is really concerned, so don't go away! I want to hear that you will be taking a walk on Sunday in your T-shirt and shorts and NOT in the hospital because your battery has vented.

I'll be right back with some detailed links for you to read and study. And yes, you need to NOT SUB OHM until you purchase an ohm reader and understand all the materials I will post.

I'll be right back!:)

Don't be like that... we are trying to help you. Just be open to learn something and we'll get everything worked out...

You, in special, are really trying to help me, advising me to get an ohm-meter, and to learn what I am doing.

Others around are laughing and throwing popcorn.

What pisses me off is that when someone needs help in here, someone who just got a CE5, for example, and can't put juice on it, i try to HELP.

And, when I am doing something wrong people looks for me like I'm a clown.

And I'm taking all this in a language that isn't mine. It's hard to find articles about Ohms Law (especialized articles. because most of them are banana) in my language. Google Translator is not the best tool in the world.
I work with translations and editing, and use google translator as a tool. I quit my last job has 4 weeks, and i never did an english lesson in my life.
Despite this, i can argue with you.

Look. I'm tired. I'm gonna keep working because it makes me happy. And I need some happiness now.

Sorry about the orthographic errors, and anything else.

I tried to correct them all, but nobody is perfect.

Again, nobody can be blame to be born.

But, my bad.

Bye.

When building your own coils and using a mechanical mod it is VERY IMPORTANT that your battery has enough AMPS to support your build. If it doesn't your battery can go into "thermal runaway" and explode. Not a good thing!

Most 18350 batteries are rated at 6 amps. You need to leave some headroom for error (I use 30%) so in this case I would consider a 6amp battery to be 4 amps and not build a coil below 1 ohm. So save your 18350 batteries for when you are using your Kayfun as it loves builds above 1 ohm.

I highly recommend you spend some time with Baditude (our resident battery expert) and visit his blogs. Baditudes Blogs. The blogs regarding mods and rebuildables are listed below:

BATTERIES

9. Battery Basics for Mods: IMR or Protected ICR?
* Includes a frequently updated list of recommended safe-chemistry, high-drain batteries with their specifications.

17. Purple Efest Batteries not as Advertised
* A cautionary blog that reveals that the purple Efest batteries may not have the specifications advertised. Also includes a commentary on "continuous discharge ratings" vs "pulse discharge ratings" of battery specs.

OHM'S LAW

14. Ohm's Law for Dummies (Vapers)
* My attempt at explaining Ohm's Law in layman terms and how it relates to vaping.

16. Explain it to the Dumb Noob: Ohm's Law Calculations
* As simple as it is to use, some people have a tough time grasping the concept. Warning: Includes graphic photos of mod explosions.

==========================

And if you have any questions on this, please start a new thread with your questions. Everyone here is more than willing to help you understand all of this. We don't want to hear you had an accident with your batteries!

So until you get an ohm reader, please do not build any coil that your Evic cannot read. Promise me you'll do that!:)

If you want to subohm and go really low I suggest you to get a 26650 and a mnke 50A battery, also subohming on a 18350 is a walk on the edge of a blade, you slip and end up in the ER. I have done subohming on a 18350 battery but with all safeties figured out and built my coils so that they required 6A out of the 6.4A limit on AW IMR batteries, now before any of you sub-ohm fanatics come in with guns blazing, I know exactly what I was doing and triplechecked all the resistances.

Sub-ohming should be only practiced with 18490/500, 18650 or 26650 batteries in a mechanical mod and still there could be some errors or shorts and end up venting the battery. Best thing to do would be to create an 'emergency plan' on what to do if a battery would vent. My plan is to get the whole mod outside in a fireproof bowl and set the bowl on something fireproof and just wait until the battery has vented or just pull the battery out immediately after noticing it heating up and do the exact same. Also the fireproof bowl should be placed quite a distance from anything flammable, like houses or trees, to a pavement for example.

18350s work best with high resistance, I would suggest 2+ ohms. They're a small battery only capable of small things.

The trick with batteries is to first determine the demands (amperge) you will be requiring from it, and then look for the battery that will best fit those needs.
I like the AW IMR 1100mAh 16amp 18490 battery a lot. My builds never draw more than 8 amps (50% of it's continues amp rating) So it fits "my" needs best without being more (or less) battery than I need. (30 watts from a 0.5 ohm coil at ~4.2v)

I am sorry to have upset you for coming off as rude. But if you are sub-ohming and say you are just going by luck and imagination you will get some harsh responses. Many of us here have made that leap but did hours of research before doing so. Again sorry to upset you but really just don't want you to get hurt. Vape on. :vapor:

And if i build an 1.2ohms coil, just in tribute for you, for trying to help me?

That would make me very, very, HAPPY!:toast:

Here are a few links for you regarding building coils and getting the resistance just where you want it:

    1. Steam Engine
    2. Coil Toy Calculator

BUT, even you use this tool, you still must measure your build on your Evic BEFORE you put it on your Nemesis. If your Evic CAN'T read it you will know there is some problem. Either the ohms are too low OR there is a short. Then you will need to rebuild your coil.

Once you get an ohm reader, you can slowly start to build lower, always putting it on your ohm reader FIRST before you put it on your Nemesis and fire it. But you need to make sure your battery has enough amps to support your build.:)

I am sorry for all this misunderstanding. I am sure the "language" differences have made this very difficult for you. Many members may not have realized that English was not your native language. They did post links for much of the information I posted but it may not have been clear to you as google is "good" but it is not perfect and it is VERY time consuming to use.:)

    See, people?

That's help. You go after the article the people needs and post it and tell this people that he needs to follow it.

And no saying that the mech Mod will blw off on his face.

Nobody has been disrespectful to you in this thread. If you post up recommending batteries and clearly not knowing what you are talking about, people are going to call you out.

As for posting in your native language or not, that has nothing to do with it. We're certainly not attacking you in any personal way, but what you posted was ill-advised and in some parts, wrong and potentially dangerous.

You can't choose how people respond, only what you post.

    Susan, better than perfect.
    Thanks =)

Shade, I'm not asking for excuses or "sorries". I know, now, I made a mistake. Bugt that was a way to put that out.

It's all good MrVP, Susan is an excellent member to listen to and take advice from. We all find our place here in the forum, it's diverse and inclusive.

I too have made many mistakes and been called out in the forum, but I am still here and I still enjoy it.

I'm just glad you got the advice you needed and are prepared to take it - so kudos and be safe.
