The link is broken, but if they're talking about nicotine as a vasodilator they’re not totally wrong. Nicotine DOES constrict blood vessels. Not for very long, and not a great deal but it is enough to not vape nicotine when you are pregnant for instance. Also it’s still not nearly as bad as cigarettes. If you have a heart condition, are pregnant, or young enough that you are still developing neurologically (age 16-20 iirc) you want to quit imbibing nicotine in any form. This is true. But if you already ARE a smoker it is better to vape than to smoke.

My suspicion is that the article rampantly overstates everything and attempts to confuse temporary vascular stiffening with actual arterial hardening which are actually completely different things.

Something with a grain of truth in it can still be heavily slanted.

Honestly, every time I see stuff like this I think of the articles in the past that say research finds that peanut butter and milk are carcinogens.
I can not think of 1 person I went to school with that was allergic to peanuts. Now my son's schools are all concerned about this or that allergy.

I ate dirt as a kid.
I drank like a sailor as a (ahem) young adult
I smoked for years.
Eat red meat that's still bleeding.
Drink coffee every day.
Still eat a little dirt now & then.
Little vapor with Nic isn't going to hurt me.

(I know I'm going to catch some flak, it's ok)

I can only speak from my own experience and knowledge I have gathered from vaping and discussions between myself and my primary care physician.

1) Nicotine does temporarily constrict blood flow for a time immediately after inhalation, no getting around it, but the effects with vaping are far less than with a cigarette as the nicotine concentration is lower than with a full blown cigarette (I chain vape on 12mg for most of the day when I am idle, compared to chain smoking cigarettes when idle which have after combustion about 48 to 52mg exposure). To swear off nicotine entirely means cutting out a major portion of your vegetable intake like tomatoes, egg plant, any of the "Night Shade" family which tobacco is part of, all of the Night Shade family produce nicotine in various levels. Yet the anti-smoke/anti-vape zealots try to disregard this little fact of life, they look at us as sinners, I point the finger right back, like tomatoes you are a sinner as well, get off my lawn and go home now...
2) Nicotine constriction of the blood flow is amplified and compounded by other toxins in cigarette smoke, only 4 toxins I vape in if you can call them that, nicotine, PG, and VG, maybe a slight menthol or tobacco flavoring to my juice. Hmm, cigarette is 4000+ chemicals and toxins, yeah, I'll take my chances with vaping as my harm effect vectors are drastically reduced with vaping. Again get off my lawn, go home and quit barking up my tree before I drop a stone on your head for violating my personal space with your preaching.
3) This is minor, but also a major factor, nicotine is proving to be beneficial in fighting dimensia, alzheimer's and several other neurological diseases, I'll take my risks with keeping nic in my body chemistry to fight it as long as I can given both sides of my family have history of elder dimensia.

Caffeine is also a vasoconstrictor. Let's kill all the caffeine addicts too...

What's everyone's opinions on these articles? Anyone that has had a heart attack or anything vape With nicotine? Just curious.

Vaping with nicotine is heart risk

Vaping with e-cigarettes can increase the chance of stroke and heart attack, research finds
from the second broken link, found via a Google search: He added: “We speculate that chronic exposure to e-cigarettes with nicotine may cause permanent effects on arterial stiffness.

I speculate that the moon is made of cheese and a cow did, in fact, fly over it...<<< see what I did there? I speculated

The irony is they are... barely. Nearly everything is slightly carcinogenic. Including most of the things we need to live, like oxygen. But only very very slightly.

Again someone misconstruing science for personal gain. As the saying goes: Life is always fatal. Get used to it.

Well if they try to regulate PG then salad dressing and ice cream is going to be expensive!

Oh PG can be found in literally everything. Toothpastes, shampoos, hair gel, deodorants, cake writing gels, various food fillings, pretty much anything that is "gel like" will have PG in it. The primary exception is Jello which is made from ground up pig tendons and bones. (You probably didn't want to know that last part though).
