Opinions on this Clearo?

How well would a G50 Hyper Tank BCC Glass Clearo w/PT Heads work with a MVP 20w? I'll be buying one soon and am wanting a gold colored clearo kinda like the gold PT2 they came out with and so far this is the closest tank I can find that I can get in gold.any thoughts?

Another alternative in gold finish is the Anyvape Davide glassomizer.

They can be a bit tricky to find, the gold finish ones, anyhow, (Ebay is good.), and the alternative varieties are sometimes confusing. Both the the full and mini can be found in gold.

The Davide has had several iterations. First they used the Kanger /Evod BCC, then a couple of different versions which used both the Kanger/Evod and the Aspire BDC.

Lately the new ones seem to be Aspire only, but with the new Aspire BVC there is still a singe coil alternative, although I miss the Kanger /Evod choice because they are so easy to rebuild.

I'll give them a look.... I did come across this Gold Protank Knock Off which is along what I'm looking for. Reading the reviews and discussions people seem to be happy with it and doing a little photoshoping it really looks good with the wrap I'm wanting.

If a Aero tank base will fit on it since its a PT II knock off that would be great.

The latest Davides - both sizes - are easy to convert to use single bottom coils. Just take off the middle ring (that holds the coil) and the little white grommet that's up by the chimney. At that point, you can simply put in a single bottom coil, or swap the base out with the Kanger AFC base appropriate to the size, i.e. full or mini.

The Davides hold a little more than the equivalent Kangers, btw.

I like those a lot its exactly what I'm looking for I'll problably throw a Aerotank base on it so I'll end up going BCC, the question is with the MVP 20w what ohm would be best?

The davides are an evolutionary improvement over the Protanks. They can be taken completely apart for easier cleaing, among other things. Build quality is A+.

The dual coil option is very handy. I switch back and forth much more than I expected to.

Yes. I know.

The Davide dual head models all have a two part assembly for the coil heads. There is a middle ring which is removed (along with the grommet) to convert to the Kanger/Evod coil. The bottom ring is what actually holds the coil itself. The grommet is fitted into the bottom of the tank center tube.

The original Davides didn't have any grommet at all because they only used the Kanger/Evod. I don't think there's any easy way to mod them so that they can use the Aspire. I suspect that if there is you'd end up buying enough extra pieces that you mind as well get a later model Davide. It probably wouldn't cost much more.

Some caveats. It was the first iteration of the dual head model which involved removing a tiny grommet from the bottom of the center tube when switching to the Aspire heads. Not that big a deal, except that you had to take the tank apart to get it out without fear of damage (which means that you had to empty the tank) and if you lost it then you couldn't change back. (I recently found one vendor that sold the grommets separately.)

I mention this because the last few gold finish I bought from Ebay were that older style. There wasn't any way to determine that from the write-up.

The newer iterations don't use the grommet. Far superior. No tiny plastic pieces to lose, and you can swap coil heads without having to open up (and thus empty) the tank. but I've only found those in gold finish a couple of times. I don't think they made a lot of them with that finish.

One disappointment I ran into was that the new style (dual coil head option) Mini Davides had a slightly smaller body diameter than the originals, so none of the outer tank components were interchangeable. A minor beef, I know, but I don't understand why they didn't just leave them the same. I don't think it would have affected their sales. I know I would have bought the new ones anyhow.

All of the Davides that take an Aspire BDC can (as far as I know) be converted to use Kanger/Evod BCC single coil heads simply by removing the upper ring on the coil head base. (That would be the silver one in your photo.), and possibly removing a plastic grommet in the bottom of the center tube (as mentioned upthread) if the model is one of the older ones. If there isn't any grommet in the bottom of the center tube when you have an Aspire head in it, and it isn't leaking like a sieve then you have one of the newer designs.

So you don't really need any extra parts to convert to BCC.

I think I like the Idea of being able to switch back and fourth between coils with out switching tanks it will give me the opportunity to tell the difference in vapes using a BBC or BDC
