Hello, I bought 3 of these bad boys while my provari was out for warranty repair, upon its return...nothing. The batteries are 2900mah, high drain, and button topped. The Provari is a v2.5 with extension cap. The IMR's still work fine, but I go through 3 a day (I know, I know, I should cut back). Any ideas from the hive? Thanks!

Use the recommended batteries only. Using batteries other than the recommended AW's will also void your warranty.
Not completely true. Provape does recommend using the AW IMR batteries about five times on the product page, but only states that using magnets on flat top batteries in order to get them to work in the Provari will void the warranty.

To OP, are you sure you don't have the protected version of those Orbtronic NCR18650PD 2900mAh? I recall at least one person using the unprotected version in their Provari without issues With some regulated mods, the protected batteries will interfere with the protective circuitry of the mod.

I use them and have no problems at all.

LR cartos will have me through 3-4 in a day, if I'm running at a 10-12ml pace.

Even though it says "High Drain"-- Its an unprotected Li-ion battery--not a Safe Chemistry 18650 LiMN IMR ... Provape what you think about it  ?

The Panasonic/Orbtronic NCR18650PF 2900mah battery is a high-drain "hybrid" class battery. It is indeed a safe chemistry battery. (LiNiCOMnO2 = Nickle/Cobalt/Manganese) Nickle and manganese make it safe chemistry. The button-top should be fine to use in a Provari. This is the best general purpose high drain battery on the market with 2900 mah and 10 amp continuous discharge rate.
