The Orchids drink juice, so they came out with a V4 pretty quick. Other than that, awesome tank. If your juice is 60%VG or thinner, make little cotton rat tails at your wick ends, in all four juice channels, to prevent flooding. I posted pics somewhere in this forum, but trying to find them now after the update is too tedious. Good luck!

If you could find it, that would be very helpful to me. I use 100% PG and I thought it might be an issue that I would have to play with. I like challenges but I might need some advice on these.

I have the V4 of the orchid and I only build single coil and yes it can be done with no leaking. When you do your coil even if it's dual coil have the cotton tapper down in the juice channel but make sure you don't pack the channel with cotton, I just thin mine out until it almost touches the end of the juice channel. Just be careful of the insulator as they are not heat prone and are a B*tch to replace trust me as mine started melting and I had to replace 2 of them on 2 tanks. I don't even vape at high watts and I don't sub ohm. I usually build at 1.2 - 1.4 and those insulators are crap. Mine is a tobecco brand. I retired mine as I have 2 authentic Squape R and 2 Aquas V2 and they are easier to build and fill and no needle to fill. I also went that route as if something is wrong with my build I can rebuild without draining all my juice. I can try to post pics of a orchid build if you need me to.But would have to take them out of retirement :)

I wanted to try the Orchid V3's for 2 reasons, one was to try duel coils and second was a shorter atty. I want to see if the flavor was better in a shorter tank. I have been using Tobeco KF4's since January and the Orchids I ordered are Tobeco also.

I was going to recommend you try a Goblin mini for the short tank / concentrated flavor aspect of it if for whatever reason you don't like the orchid v3s, but I don't know how well it would do with 100%pg juice.

Good luck with the orchids though.

Thanks, I saw the Goblin and liked it. For the price I paid for the Orchids, I had to try them first. Don't really like the air holes on the underside tho. Prefer the air holes on the sides.

I found the post, but like every other pic I uploaded, it's gone... :(

Orchid Rba HELP PLEASE!

I'll look through my phone pic backup folder and see if I can repost.

Completely understandable regarding the air holes, which is what lead me to think it may not be the best for 100% pg, I could see that easily leaking out onto a mod. I haven't had an issue with it leaking out onto my mod yet using 80vg+ juice, but do get a bit of condensation build up.

Found an old one... not that pretty, but it performed flawlessly.
My Orchids are all drilled out now, and these days I wrap larger oval coils, oriented upright to keep as much of the coil in the airstream as possible. For me it's perfect. My juice is typically 50/50.

Very nice looking. How do you think it will work with 100% PG??? I may have to screw around with the thickness of wicks going down and above the channels.

I think you'll be alright. Like you said you'll probably have to experiment some with the density of your tails. Try to get away with as little as possible, like start similar to my build and go from there. If you lay it down for a few minutes and it floods, pack a little more in there, etc.

The most important first step is to make sure vacuum is good before anything... plug the two intakes and pull on it, see if it'll hold vacuum against your tongue. If everyone would do that first you'd see a lot fewer "rage quit" baby tantrums around here. :)

and tall chimneys I can get five ml capacity. I single-coil them, split the wicks and lead the halves between the posts to the other side. I have six, and use them exclusively. Just discovered that when ohms wander, a bit of electroconductive grease in the 510 gives me a stable reading. My coils are generally around 1.3Ω.
