I am just curious how ling it took to receive the letter from customs? The one place that I always get my juice from in the states has always taken 3 weeks to arrive, give or take a day. I have been waiting for 5 weeks for my last order and with no tracking number I have no idea what happened to it. I figured if customs had it I would have gotten a letter by now?
From madvapes it took a couple of days to arrive at the customs, but the customs clearance ( they checked the packadge) it took a week and a half, and after they gave it to post canada and it arrived the day after(today).

What do you mean by final warning?

If you have a package waiting for you at the post office they'll leave a card for you to pick it up. If you don't, within something like 5 days you'll receive a final notice to pick up your package or it'll be returned to sender.

I had 2 packages of juice from GH1 sent, both with juice. Shipped at the same time. Airmail, cause they "Garuntee" the receipt...

First package received, 2nd held at customs... 2 weeks later, I got a letter from HC saying it was a "prohibited product" under section XX of the law, only for sale by pharasists ect... and a phone # to call if I had questions. I tried calling, straight to VM, and the box wasn't even set up to accept messages... This is RAPE! If you give me an option to dispute... at least answer the phone, put me on hold, hell let me leave a message... nuts!

That definitely sucks. Although there's a possibility that might be for the best. Last time I used their juices was about a year ago and I developed a serious problem with them. I don't know exactly what the problem was, but I suspect that either whoever made their juices was using PEG-400, or that the PG they used might have had traces of DEG in it (a byproduct of PG manufacture that's supposed to be filtered out), or something of that nature, because it was causing some serious muscle or circulation issues to the point where I couldn't walk more than 5 minutes at my normal brisk pace without experiencing progressively worse pain in my legs and feet. Once I stopped using their juice I was fine.

That was a year ago though and maybe they've changed, but I'll never risk that again.

If Customs holds a package for inspection - they can hold it for up to 6 weeks prior to notifying you. They can also choose to send the notification on the final day before the package is returned - so you can't complain or appeal.

Though as far as I've heard - you'll usually get a letter within 2 weeks of it hitting customs if there is a clearance problem.

If it's still MIA by the end of next week - Might be a good idea to contact the sender and ask if there is a way to trace the package.

Good luck

And this is why we should buy from canadian vendors. Border inspection is eliminated and keeps our vendors running.

If I were limited to buying within Canada, I wouldn't be vaping anymore. I have spent atleast $1000 trying to find an ADV and it just so happens that I found it in the US. If a Canadian vendor stocked it, I would gladly support them instead.

If I spent that much, I would have certainly found my niche way before that mark. I expect my vaping per year to hit under $800 tops and that's including hardware. Sheesh.

Unfortunately I have very picky tastes. I like only tobacco flavors and found that 99% of them taste like plastic or flowers. Luckily I was able to recoup atleast half of those costs by reselling in the classifieds, but it was still worth every penny to be cigarette free for almost 1 year now. Now that I have found my sweet spot, my costs are about $50/month.

Good stuff lelly. I was just stating where my costs were, no offence M8. My wife only does one brand and I get it from the U.S. We usually go for a mini holiday to the region and hook up with the vendor there. It's too bad she doesn't like any others. We usually get her a 6 month supply in doing so.

No offense taken, I just wanted to clarify because I didn't want people to get the wrong idea about the costs of vaping. Not everyone needs to spend $1000 in the period of a couple of months on juice to find something that they like, just like not everyone feels the need to spend $1000 on mods to start their own collection, lol.

man that is serious! that scares me, i read a bunch of crap about HC finding some juice in a random test of juices from different countries/companies that had Diethylene glycol in it....you shoulkd research it...it can screw with your central nervous system.,..sounds like what happened to you! can kill you!

I don't know what it was but it certainly turned me off their juices. Turns out I wasn't the only one who experienced that with their juices. Now, this was at least a year ago so I don't know if things have changed, and I've never had a single issue with any hardware I've bought from them either, so I don't want this to sound like an indictment of GH1 entirely. I just won't buy their juices.

Update: After a lot of back and forth with the vendor, I finally got a tracking number for my missing package. It has been sitting at customs since October 7th, and still no letter in the mail. Looks like they will be holding it the full 6 weeks before they notify me or return it to sender. I think I am going to have to try some of the new canadian vendors and hopefully I can find a juice I like so that I have a back-up supplier. Can anyone reccommend a good 555 tobacco flavor from a canadian vendor?

I haven't had issues with thier juices in the past, but I can't say the same about their hardware.... I had a coleague who wanted to save a few bucks got an eGo-T kit there.... they atty was cracked, and looked rusted... I gave her a new atty, and told her to toss it to avoid issues, vaping rust... that can't be good. Her batt died in like 2 weeks... GH1 did replace her kit, and the new one is working fine, but what a terrible first experience, enough to give it up right away...
