On the baggies the wire was in it said 28? does that mean its 28?

28 gauge is .0126 in............... and 30 gauge is .01 in.

I would contact the vendor and ask why he sent you 28 gauge instead of 30 gauge.

Could be either or neither.

do you have a ohm meter or multimeter? Post a pic of it next to a 1/16 drill bit 18ga needle.

ok will do, to be honest it doesnt much matter, i ordered the 30ga for my first rebuild, after more research i realized 28 would probably be more what I was looking for. I was mainly just curious

I think you are right. 9 wrap micro (1/16) is the shizzle!
