So I tried a smok dct and guess what??? I ORDERED A PHINIAC!!! But now I need to stock up on cartos. I went through the smok 1.5 dual coil dual punched in about two days (24 ml or so) with my dark 50/50 juices vaping at around (8 watts) 2.9v-3.2v.
Will Boge suit me better? & do I need to look for flanged with a Phini?? Will my leftover smok ones (with the out-of-round flange) even work??? Thanks in advance for the advice!!!

Phiniac tanks do not require a carto with a flange. Their o-rings hug the cartomizer very snug. Therefore, you can use either carts with or without a flange.

You have two concerns to watch out for: Carto length and carto resistance (ohm rating).

Match the length of carto with the length of tank you purchased.

You'll need to choose what resistance you need depending upon the voltage you will use. Fixed voltage batteries will need either low resistance and standard resistance. Variable voltage batteries will need either standard or high resistance.

There are 3 major carto brands: Boge, Ikenvape, and Smoktech.

Smoktech is the only brand to make dual coil carts. Those have fallen out of favor. Ikenvapes are gaining favor, but can be tough to get. All three carto brands appear to have equal popularity. Best advise I can give is to try some of each to see which fit your juices and vape habits.

Thanks Baditude! (I was kinda hoping you'd chime in! ) I just got my Provari and I ordered the Phiniac as my new "on the go" system. I'm moving up from Vamo/I clear 30. So I'm on the waiting list at ike vape for some fusions and I have some f16's coming to compare to the smoks that I've already tried. Ready for the next level!

I've used a Phiniac on a Provari and had no issues.

You ARE using pre-punched cartomizers, correct?

Simpliest thing to try is to make certain that the tank is not screwed in too tightly onto the Provari. You may need a little gap between them for more air flow to the bottom of the cartomizer where it connect to the Provari. If that doesn't solve the air problem, you should be able to pull the tank a little higher on the carto to create this gap.

Make certain that you have properly primed the cartomizer prior to putting it into the tank. Read my blog on cartotank setup in my blog, second page. The majority of folks here who have tried my method have had success with their cartotanks.

Concerning the airflow issue, although you shouldn't need one, another option is to purchase a tank airflow controller/adaptor:

I just got a phiniac and have 2 more coming. That being said my juice isn't flowing into my carto. Also I get no air flow on my provari. Any ideas?

I find the Phiniac's, a long with many other tanks, can fit so flush on the Provari as to cut off all air flow myself. Easily alleviated by raising the tank on the carto a smidgeon. Instant air flow. I use the condom method of priming and it has never failed me. I then punch either one or two holes on my cartos depending on juice (thickness). I use a Siam V2 carto punch which does a great job of NOT deforming the cartomizer. I just got some prepunched cartos from SureVapes because they were out of the 510 LR stainless which I buy in boxes of 5. Not sure if I will like them, but at least I'll have a chance to check them out now. At 30% higher pricing, though, they're going to have to be better to cause me to give up punching my own. We'll see and I'll report back. Good luck with your carto tanks!
