Hi all,
I finally pulled the trigger on a black wrinkle blem that was put up on the site today. I got the rm4 to go with it and could not be more excited!
I now need to order batteries. I am going to order xtar vtc4s (unless you folks would recommend something different) as I like the thirty amp limit. My question is wether or not anyone had strong feelings in terms of button top or flat top. My first thought was button, but I have heard they are longer and my not allow the spring to collapse in case of a short. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can't go wrong with AW IMRs. You didn't mention which REO so I am assuming it's a Grand. You'll love it.

Nicely done, Jordon - a fine, fine decision :toast:

The RM4 you got with it is very versatile.

You might already be all over this, but it would make sense for you to add a few items to your order, since this appears to be your first reo. A few spare springs would be good, and some folks like to have a few extra 6 ml bottles around (you'll get two with a new reo). Extra magnets for the door and a rebuild kit would round out your arsenal. If you're interested, maybe PM Rob (redeyedancer) to see if he could include any of these with your existing order (he's good that way).

Now, you should know the drill - pics when she arrives or we chalk you up as a fibber.

Thanks for the welcome! I think I ordered extra everything short of a rebuild kit [emoji3] . The pics will be up as soon as she gets here.

Welcome to Reoville! New resident myself, I am running the Xtar VTC4's in my Reo/RM4 with .4 ohm (net) dual micro coils (Courtesy of Drifters vids and coil gizmo) couldn't be happier. The one thing I would say is even the flat tops are a tight squeeze so the button tops might be a little too long. Having said that you are in for some vaping good times. :vapor:

It was indeed me :) I saw it this morning and decided if it was still there after I went shopping for my son's birthday I would have to grab it, so I am glad I could help make your decision easier

I think you'll be very happy with it Jordon. The black wrinkle is a classic in my opinion, and it'll look great with the RM4.

I bought the xtar's button top VTC4's. I like them, but make sure you use nolax or deoxit gold. I prefer the deoxit gold as it lasts longer and there is no mess.

Glad to hear that I just placed an order for the Deoxit pen and cleaner booster today. Will be here Tuesday thanks APrime!

Batteries all ordered along with a charger. Now the waiting game begins. I guess I will just have to watch all of SuperX's videos to ease the excitement.

Make a trip to Arts & Crafts | Framing | Michaels Stores and grab one of these http://www.artisticwire.com/product-p/jteconwin1.htm the micro tension coils are amazing!!!!!

Just be careful, I just gave myself a nic buzz for the first time in quite awhile running dual .4 ohm(net) coils. Russ almost should have put a disclaimer in that vid.
The plus side is my coils have never looked this good and for only 1/16" in diameter. Pretty insane, they hit like a freight train and the flavor is amazing, once my Koh Gen Do cotton gets here I will be squonking like the pros.

I have seen those at the hobby lobby here and thought about trying one out. I am fairly satusfied with my coiling skills for now but may give it another thought when I get the itch for new toys :)

They are pretty cool, my coils were decent but at my age and with a touch of carpal tunnel from all the gaming/computer use I never could wind anything like what these came out looking like. I was just so impressed I recommend it to anyone who will listen. :)

Heck I have to get a magnifying glass just to make sure I got the right amount of wraps. I lose focus easily, nothing worse than winding a coil and thinking,"What number was i on?"

The :2c: department:

I tried it and thought it was awfully involved to build a couple few coils. If you don't have a space you can leave it out and permanently clamped onto something it's a pain to take off, rebox, take it out again, set it up again, put it away again... When I was in AC Moore at the time I spied a nice set of tiered mandrels (same department) and in hindsight wish I had just got those instead.

I just leave all my tools and it clamped to the bar in the kitchen. Having said that I am waiting on Homeland Security to kick down my door and ask where the bombs are but I keep vape business cards on hand.
