Ordered a Russian 91 polished ... Did I make a good choice?

So the russian came and I must say it is performing like a champ with 1.4 micro coil anywhere after 12.5 watts the vapor is so warm and just chucks out a cloud thanks to the air flow control. I thinks it's well worth the money. Also with the cotton the vapor AND the flavor is really good. Hope you enjoy it as much as I am.. Happy vaping!!!

Edit: forgot one more thing, when your filling the tank be careful not to flood it so best thing is to fill it just a bit above the tank window.

Awesome. Glad yours is working! ... I got mine yesterday. Jury is still out. The box looked banged up, and the seal was broken. All the pieces appear to be there. But, I noticed the build deck wobbles.

It could use a good wash too, it's got that machine oil smell. I'll give another update over the weekend when I have time to try this out. I'm still hopeful. It does look very nice.

I love my R91.

You *might* want to look into getting a replacement tank. I almost exclusively use the SS tank mine came with because I don't want to worry about what my e-liquid will do to the plastic.

Does the polished R91% come with a polished SS center tank and the plastic tank, or just the plastic tank?

I think the Russian 91 is an excellent piece. I've build and used one. Very solid.

My favorite tank by far! Running a 1.7ohm with organic cotton, on an iTaste SVD, at 12watts. Best vape ive gotten out a tank, including my protank microcoil with cotton rebuilds... only dripping can get better lol...

Had issues with the deck being loose... took out the adjustable contact pin and tightened down the center post.

If you run your air flow low, becareful of heavy/strong draws as this may cause gurgling...

Yes, I can see how that is misleading. The photos show a plastic tank. I'm only guessing that the first bullet includes the ss tank section, as they refer to the atomizer as a whole. Unless I just got lucky.

So I've been vaping about two months. Have tried 4 mods, and a few clearomizers. Currently using a black provari mini with a nautilus, which I'm thrilled with. However I've heard so much about the kayfun, russian, etc. And although I've never wrapped a coil, I'm ready for the challenge. I probably should have started with a less expensive option, but bought impulsively this evening. Damage is done.

Basically I have two quick questions.
Has anyone ordered from Vapor DNA?
Does this Russian 91 "polished" sound ok?

... think I'll need 28 kanthal and organic cotton. Would that be best, or should I use something else?

I have one of those exact versions and really love it. The one thing to mention is that mine was missing the 510 drip tip adaptor so check to make sure you get everything when it arrives.

I'm sure others will have ideas on the cotton and wire, but I just ordered both on amazon with no trouble. If you watch a good tutorial (I used PBusardo's), building the micro coil is no trouble at all. Mine came out great the first try.

VaporDNA Polished Russian 91% description is the exact same as the regular versions description. It does in fact come with both the plastic and the polished center section. I bought one and received it yesterday. It is my 3rd R91, the other two are the regular media finished ones, I did a brushed/machined finish on one of them though.

There are some reports of overall quality issues with this shipment of R91s. Mine seems to be just like the other two that I have. I have not built on it as of yet. I know of some people sending theirs back.

Of the three I have purchased, from 3 different vendors, 2 had the seal opened on them. Some vendors claim that customs opens some when they come in, some claim they are checked before they are shipped out.

I dunno my 2 opened ones have been complete and I have been happy with them.

How often do you all change the cotton?

My buddy just got his yesterday. I built it last night . It wouldnt fire on the Provari becauase the insulator screw/pin was loose. Adjusted it and now it works perfect. Great Vape at 1.7 ohm microcoil with Nicotickets Betalgeuse!!!

Awesome! Yeah, Mine would not fire with the beauty ring on it, so I adjusted the bottom screw and no issues after. I know others build this stuff all the time. But I'm quite proud of myself. lol

First, congratulations! (And that REALLY looks sweet on that Provari Mini!!!)

Second, I can usually run about 15-20ml of e-liquid through mine before it starts to taste "off". (closer to 15, 20's pushing it because I'm lazy, lol).

The Russian is an excellent rba and Vapor DNA is a fine vendor. Since you are using a Provari, I would make my build at arroun 1.5 ohms, if you go lower you'll be maxing out the amp limit before maxing out the watt limit on a Provari.

Depends on the juice, some I can get 4 tanks through, ~16ml some I need to change cotton with every tank.

That little screw on the side of the R91. It came with a screwdriver. Tweak away.
