I never got around to fessing this up before... I'm a Bonehead!!!
Because I finally took the time to troubleshoot my VVG a while back. I opened it up, took the Fluke to it and found all was working just fine in it... without an atty on it. It was just a coil problem... the VVG is back in service. My first excuse is buying so many Reos so fast I just set it aside for later. Second excuse (the coil problem)... I have something like 8 RM2's, 4 that at a glance are look a likes. In the shuffle way back when I put the wrong RM2 on the VVG, one with a very low SO coil installed that it wouldn't fire. When I took that RM2 off the VVG back then it fired just fine on the Mini 2.1. I never even thought about it's coil... the RM2 that was normally on the VVG was built high ohm specifically for it. Or that I mixed the RM2's up. Yes I'm a bonehead, for not checking the RM2's resistance when I have 2 atty ohm testers and 2 Fluke VOM's between my computer desk and
vape work desk.
Anyway, with the correct RM2 back on it I have been enjoying the original VVG again, getting some use out of the dozen 18350 batts I have again. I had a little trouble when I picked it up at first after so long without it though. It feels near the size of a Grand, it's metal, but in hand I couldn't seem to find the fire button on top that I was usually reaching for. Yep, a bonehead.
