dont feel bad I have had customers ship there mods to me from over seas . The problem they were trying to run a really low ohm coil . Even with me asking them what ohm coil they were using and explaining the the mod wont run really low ohm coils it will auto shut down they still send them in . This happens in the states as well

Thanks for offering a little saving grace for me Rob. I still feel amiss though for loosing the use of it for so long without just cause. Just laziness, my not taking the time to troubleshoot it. And that is especially dumb since I was big in electronics as a kid growing up (built my first HAM when I was 10), was in avionics electronics during my my military service, and an engineer in many fields after that was always involved in electronic design, manufacture and troubleshooting to some degree during most of my working lifetime. I bought the VVG in the first place to have a piece of Reo history more than to use it. But I am enjoying using it now. Even better my original plan for as long as I own it still stands, it will not suffer the fate of being made into a mech.

Hey girl... the purple lady. ;) There's purple 18650 batts... RTD has Efest IMR's and there's other brands out there. I wouldn't use them myself, I stick to the AW IMR's even though I'd never own a red Reo.

I may work some magic on this SL so batt color won't matter.

Maybe this will make you feel better I once removed a vv chip from a mod because I thought the chip was dead . Keep in mind this takes some time in a vv grand . I install a new chip nothing still doesn't work . I check the spring it was loose talk about a misfit of science move . Normally this would be one of the first things I would check . We all do these type of things even if your a master at something you make mistakes were human after all . Sometimes its the simple things that get us

The new LP/SL Grand TRA got here today. Not bad considering the weather and the thousands of canceled flights in the New England states. Got one of my Nuppin's dialed into position on it, so just started trying it out. First impression with it in hand... considerably lighter, but weight doesn't really matter to me, it'll never leave the house. It is running the Nuppin' a lot hotter than it was on my LP Grand SV. It was just moved over from it, same build/same joose. At first I wondered if it might be my new AW IMR 2200mAh batts that came yesterday as this is the first time I've used one, but its the same in the SL with my same 2000mAh batts I was running in the other LPG's. The inner workings being exposed is not as unappealing to me as I thought they would be (even with a batt color doesn't match the Reo... Angie Girl ;) ). I will give if a few days to see if it grows on me, but I already know that I like the feel & look of my LP Grand TRA a lot better. I'm biased though, I like the LP TRA more than any of my other metal Reos.

I'll try to get a picture of it tonight for the nonbelievers. :)

Simply love the TRA feel too. I have a Mini 2.1 that is a Copper Vein bought used that was already very dark with patina. It's been said here it has a TRA finish under the CV, so all I'd have to do to is strip the CV off to have another TRA. That's planned, just need to go buy the stripper (no, not the 2-legged variety we have so many of here, they're mostly free for the asking). ;)
