Hi all, what a huge community,I had no idea.
As the title says I just found this place, but the other night I sat at the computer reading about e-cigs,even watched some reviews that I realize were more sales vehicals than actual reviews and checked out Canadian suppliers.
Well I pulled the trigger on a Phantom T1 starter kit, thinking it was the right machine for me, a 1+ pack a day smoker.
Then I found this place and have spent several hours reading about different types of cigs and batteries and tanks and......you know what?I have not seen the Phantom T1 mentioned at all.Not a word.On the upside there is no bad press on them :)
I just find it odd not to see mention of the Phantom T1,have I bought an unknown product?Possibly some knock-off junk?
I will keep reading and try to form my own opinion,if this one doesnt work I will try again, but if anyone has an opinion on these I would appriciate hearing it,thanx

Welcome, renoman! The Phanton T1 is pretty similar to eGo-T with the addition of a nice LCD screen. You might check around the forum with that info to get an idea of what you are working with. Might I suggest grabbing some cartomizers and maybe some clearomizers if you decide that the standard atomizer/tank system isn't working well for you..

Welcome and congrats on your conversion. Dont fret..seems to be another ego clone with some extra bells and whistles. The ego and its cousin knock offs are pretty much the workhorses of the industry. Should be perfect to get you going and keep you going for a while. I would also suggest looking into some CE4/Stardust cartomizers to go with it.

once again Pittboss is on it.

If the T1 is similar to an Ego (510 connection) then don't fret my friend, you have plenty of options with that unit.

I started with a regular Ego. Didn't like the whole polyfill cartridge method so I just purchased so LR (low resistance 1.5 ohm) atomizers and started dripping. Did that for months, now I'm playing with cartomizers and clearomizers. The battery and it's 510 connection open a lot of options for you to experiment and find out what you like. We're all different and we each like what we like so order a couple 510 connection LR single coil cartomizers or a 510 LR atomizer and see what works for you. Oh and don't forget about Youtube, some great videos out there. I recommend GrimmGreen, PBusardo,Geekgirlvapor, and Steeljan. Lots of great information and honest reviews.

This is the video I recommend to anyone starting out as it covers some of the vaping evolution and provides lots of information on different ways to vape -GrimmGreen- Taking the next vaping step

Welcome to ECF and I hope this was somewhat helpful..

Some fast answers,thank-you.I had no idea there was so many options and "gizmos" available.I am going to check with the vendor and see if its a "510" connection, that does open up alot of options I just have to figuer out whats what.I tinker around with electric r/c planes, this is starting to feel like assembling the drive train for a plane.Kinda fun

I went to epuffer's website and looked at the battery...it does look like a 510 threading, so you should be good to go!
I really liked the LED display BTW. Your batteries are 750 mAh which is a decent mAh. When ordering cartomizers or atomizers you'll want to get something around 2.5 ohm resistance. If you go with a dual coil, you'll want to get around 1.5 ohm resistance. Welcome to ECF and Happy Vaping!

Not recommended for an eGo battery regardless of what any vendor says. They demand power that the eGo battery can't provide. It stresses the mosfet switch which will eventually cause premature death of the battery. The 1.5ohm dual coil cartomizers are best at 5V and above.

To the OP...2ohm Boge cartomizers are better for the eGo. They provide plenty of warm, flavorful vapor, and throat hit...less stress on the mosfet switch. However, low resistance will drain your battery quicker than 3ohm will but with 3ohm, you get a cooler vapor. The kit you choose is a nice setup. I had several of those batteries that have the LCD.

Firstly, Welcome and congrats on making the first step.
I admit that I hadn't heard of that particular brand but after a little delving it appears to be very much like the eGo.
Boge cartomisers work well on the eGo, especially if you find you like a warm vapour.
What I will say is that if you find this particular pv isn't right for you, please don't give up, vaping is a learning curve and it can take a while to find the right set up. Try different flavours too, I would never have thought I would prefer sweet non tobacco flavours but they are what work for me, also your taste will change so be prepared for a time when what you like at first then tasting not so nice, it's normal.
Lastly, vaping does dehydrate you so remember to drink plenty.
Good luck and keep us posted.
