Hey guys! I just ordered my Vamo v2 for $27 w/Free shipping! I wanted to ask, what battery brand would be best? I prefer a high mAh so it will last longer, and what is the highest mAh battery I can use on it safely? And do I need a 2cent fuse? Upgrading from the eGO-C Twist.

Also, is there anything else I should get for it? Will be using the Vivi Nova with it.

Thanks!

Edit: It was from fasttech.

IMOH - you should have ordered the panasonic batts (sets of 2 at this price) and the nitecore charger with it

$10.03 Panasonic CGR18650CH Rechargeable 2250mAh 3.7V 18650 Lithium Batteries 2-pack - authentic cells / 2-pack at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

I am using the vision brand vivi nova's at 7.5 watts and am really going through the juice fast - have a protank coming on Monday to see how I like it and if juice consumption goes down

05/20 edit - You made me think about it and now I ordered another Vamo, batts and charger - plus I had to add the Itaste MVP kit, and more ego batts - backups for my backup's backups

Yah the vamo has circuit protection already but if your charger doesnt than you should get protected batteries..easy to find....i got a couple ultra fire icr 18650 2500 mah from radio shack.$10 bucks each....last 2 full days vaping moderatly at 5 watts.(protected batteries have built in pc chips that cut out when fully charged and when almost dead).

A Vamo is not designed to take protected batteries.

(Borrowed post from another member)

This is straight out of the user manual:

Protected type Li-Ion batteries will not work in this device – the over current protection renders them unusable as they usually have a current limit of 2.5 Amperes and this device uses current higher than that figure.. Please use High drain Safe rated batteries with no on-board protection for optimum use of this device.
Recommended batteries are IMR / AW type cells.

Will go and grab the Panasonic battery then! Can I get the 2600 mAh or is it too high for the Vamo?

Can I Use a unprotected battery with the Nitecore I2 charger?

Also anyone got a link for the adapter for my Vivi? I'm not really sure what you guys are talking about.

Thanks!

It depends on the size of the battery if you can use it, not the mAh.

The Nitecore I2 is fine.

You can NOT use protected batteries in the Vamo.

That's an excellent price, man I wish I had the $ to order one myself, anyone know how long this deal will be going for? Not long I'm sure.

The fasttech price isn't a sale price but they are doing a discount code deal. The regular price is $29.46. Use coupon code cpaste13spring to get an additional 5% to bring the price to $27.99. Shipping is free. $29.46 Vamos Stainless Steel E-Cigarette Battery Compartment - variable voltage / with extension part at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

You don't need an adapter for the Vivi. An eGo like the T3, MT3 you do need an adapter. The EVOD's fit just fine. Funny thing is, it has eGo threading, but only the small tanks will fit in the drip well. LOL!
The Panasonic 2600 mAh & Efest 2250 mAh work great. Haven't noticed any difference between the two.

The adapter linked above is not really an adapter, but a protection from overtightning on the center connector.
