Hello I am new here and I would much appreciate it if anyone could point out if i am doing anything wrong.
I am looking in to purchasing an E-cig and I was wondering if there was any liquids i could use that are nicotine free and free of any harmful chemicals, I have asked a few of my co-workers who vape and they said the best bet was to use normal water vapor, but I have read a few articles that say water vapor is full of harmful chemicals, I am not sure what to do, so I thought I would ask on here for more info.
thank you for reading :)

Are you currently a smoker? And if you're not, why do you want to get into vaping?
No, I am not a smoker and I would like to get in to it for a few reasons, it seems like fun, my co-worker let me try hers and i liked it, it tasted a bit funky but she said i could plain water vapor. it was fun to blow smoke rings so I was looking in to getting one

Welcome to ECF!

I don't see any problem with a non-smoker getting in to vaping. Certain personalities are going to take risks, and it is better for the person seeking a nicotine outlet to try vaping rather than smoking.

Typical e-liquids are going to be composed of PG/VG possibly water, flavorings, and then of course nicotine. Few if any are anywhere near as dangerous as a cigarette, which may contain 4000+ chemicals. I am not a Dr, but this is repeated over and over in all tests that have been done throughout the industry.

I thought that there were nicotine free liquids that could be used instead, like just plain water vapors

eliquid is NOT water vapor. I don't know why anyone says that. It is a mixture of PG, VG and food flavorings. Some people will add 5% or 10% distilled water to THIN the liquid.

Water itself will not vaporize in an ecig. :)

At any rate, do what you want to do. If you are 18 and over you are an adult, vaping is legal, and therefore you are free to make your own decision about what to do with YOUR body.

Just consider that you are still injesting flavorings (which are safe for injestion but not enough studies to show they are 100% safe for inhalation......and as a matter of fact, some are suspected of maybe having inhalation *risks*. ) You are also inhaling PG and VG.

In other words, *probably* not as safe as just inhaling air. :) But we don't know for 100% sure.

Most people start vaping as harm reduction (from cigarettes and such) because it IS harm reduction, but nobody has said it is harmless.

I think we all need to really pay attention to questions like this. Could be FDA baiting.

Not the least concerned at all. I do animal rescue and people are always wanting to sweep certain conversations under the rug "because PETA might be listening". (I am also a horse racing fan and this comes up a lot.........) It's absurd to even think like that. IF somebody is abusing a horse then by all means, talk about it in the open because if it's not right its not right. I have no interest in shielding my sport or the behaviors of certain businesses by not speaking the truth.

PETA is going to do what they do, regardless. :)

BEST way to live life is to put it on the table, open things for discussion, let the truth out. We have nothing to hide. Most people here will answer these questions in a reliable and adult way.

If you are thinking the FDA or any anti vaping people don't already know everything there is to know then you are really pretty naive. ;) I guess I don't get the "hiding" mentality in the first place.

I am far from naive. Maybe I should have worded it differently. I help out at an area B & M and we have to watch how we word things now to and in front of patrons. Just the cautionary side in me coming out.

Biara you need a few items if you want to start vaping.
Google vape stores in your area, visit one and they will help you get set up.
You can vape nicotine free and flavor free if you want to.
I think you should check out some flavored juices, you may like them, and they're not harmful in limited amounts.
