I've been looking around to see what my next mod might be, and I'm intrigued by the Origin (clone), but I'm wondering about what differences there may be between the EH Pro and Infinite -- is one better than the other?

Also -- one of the things that intrigues me about the Origin is that it's only 21mm wide, but I'm wondering if that looks goofy with a kayfun on it. Anyone got any pics of an Origin with a kayfun on top? I searched Google's images, but with all the scads of pics they have indexed, I didn't find an Origin with a kayfun.

Thx!

Infinite over Ephro for me-they are both great companies and the personal experiences I have had with Infinite were not the best as a company but they're products are undeniably awesome-that being said I can't discount Ephro or HCigar as they are pretty great with everything I have seen...so in a long explanation I don't think I said much but that's my take-They Kayfun I couldn't tell you-it looks rad as a tank if we are talking about the original but the smaller one might be a better fit

Ok, thanks; that's actually good news I think, since the prices I'm finding, the Infinite is bit less costly than the EH Pro.

My Kayfuns are Tobeco KFL+, 22mm, so only 1mm wider than the Origin; it might not look goofy at all, but I'd sure like to see a pic and see for myself how it looks.

Thx,
Andria

I would recommend another mod.
I have tinkered with a dozen Origen clones and a couple legit ones.
The throw adjustment in the switch is a horrible design.
The switch is "fiddly" ( and I'm being nice).

IMHO it's a bad design . They over complicated a simple horn switch and made it a nightmare.
Do some research on the switch and read some reviews.

I agree with Bad Ninja....I had an authentic Origin and got rid of it....the switch is "over-engineered" IMO....it's like there were too many cooks in the kitchen when it was designed.....Adjusting for battery rattle is a PITA, and the switch components constantly came loose....Although they do look nice, but the design leaves a lot to be desired....

Hmm... thanks for the info, y'all. I'm really looking for a more-slender mod, which is why the Origin caught my eye. I have a Sigelei Zmax v3, which is 23mm; recently got a Vamo v2, which is 22mm, and I find it quite comfy. So maybe I will go with something 22mm, but I'm still looking for a slender mechanical which will take the regular 18xxx batteries and a Kick. I'm thinking 21mm might be the smallest I could get, with those requirements.

I agree. My Hcigar Origin is the only mech I ever bought that I absolutely despise. That being said, If you really want to know, let me know and I'll see if I can dig it out of the "drawer of no return" and stick a kayfun on it and take a picture. Honestly, I would chose just about any other mod. So many better designs out there in my opinion.

I decided to just go hunting; I went to Fasttech and searched for "mechanical mod" and looked at about 20 or so before I found the KTS mechanical mod, which says it is 21mm, and it also has a slight taper at the top, so would seem even more suitable for use with a narrow atomizer, AND it's telescoping, which I generally prefer. Anyone know anything about it? I know all the caveats for dealing with FT; it says that it ships in 4 business days, and it's not something I'm just expiring till I can get it, I've already got one mech and quite a few regulated mods, so the wait wouldn't be too onerous, for such an outstanding price.

The idea about putting a Kayfun on it was really just kind of a random thought; I really want a slender mod for a different atomizer that's quite slender, actually 15mm I think, for which I find the 10-sec cutoff of regulateds to be a real pain.

The B&M my wife works at had bought few of those KTS mods when they first started getting into mechs. They feel cheap in the hand and you won't be happy with it. I still have a small dent in one of my batteries from us trying to get one to actually fire. They had them on their clearance shelf for awhile and eventually just threw them away.

The mini Nemesis clones come in at 18mm I believe, but will require some new smaller batteries. 14500 Efest is what I've run in mine and actually get decent battery life with a mild build in a kayfun mini.

EDIT: Focal Ecig currently has the one I bought on sale for $11.90 with free shipping.

No, I don't want anything that takes different batteries. I have 10 batteries in the various 18xxx sizes, I don't want to just keep buying more and more and more and more different batteries.

I have no interest in the kayfun mini; it's narrow, but MUUUUUUUUUUUCH too tall, looks ridiculous. I want a narrow mod for this other narrow atty I have.
