When I was little, I spent a lot of time with elderly people, and I loved hearing stories about the really old days. The oldest person I remember talking to was born in 1858. He was 98 years old when I was four, and he had vivid memories about hearing about the Civil War/War between the states, and Abraham Lincoln when he was growing up. I was fascinated by this and asked him lots of questions. I tried to remember what he told me so I would never forget it.
I would like to talk to him again now that I am older. It still seems incredible to me that I have seen man walk on the moon, but I also knew someone who was born before Lincoln was president.
