I do not think those are originals. I am looking for the one that Alt Smoke used to sell.
I looked at the Vaperkings site and those are genuine Silver Bullets. Guess it doesn't matter since you got one cheaper from ecig.

Back when they were still being made and sold by Altsmoke I think the M model you got used to cost $115, the basic model that Vaperkings has in stock cost $80. I have some of the $80 ones.

The difference is that the M has no wires connecting the button into the circuit. That makes it a "true" mech from a purist point of view.

I had no idea they were still available. I just ordered an M from ecig. Never thought I would have one of those.

Yeah, I almost ordered one for myself lol, but I've got other mechs to play with :)

Thanks for the tip. Never thought I would see them for sale again. Especially at those prices. I have 5 SB's now counting the M I just ordered. Got them for my long term deeming proof stash. They sat in a tub under the bed for a long time but I've been using them recently. Took a bit of getting used to, not having a screen to tell me what was going on.

you pushed me over the edge...lol...I used to look at those and want one, but couldn't justify them at the time, I was really surprized to find them and at that price...so I just grabbed one to add to the collection. It will be cool to fire up an old school mech and vape away on it. :)

Never had a SB, but the omega from altsmoke was my very first mod I bought in 2011. Still have it and have never seen another mech that fires in the same manor....it's ok, but quit a bit of voltage loss

If I'm not mistaken the originals had a board in them to prevent you from going sub ohm. It wasn't til later they came out with a mechanical version. The switch would not fire a atty lower than 1.2Ω. I have a second run 18650 SB. I'm sure if I'm wrong someone with a better memory will correct me.

Hi, I looked at the SB on Vaporkings and the SB has no vent on the bottom. There should be one. Am I right?

I suppose you could use the nautilus x but you’ll be getting 11.8 down to 8.6 with the 1.5 coil (I think they use that & the 1.8 ohm).

Personally I’d be ok the first few puffs but as it drops below 11 the vape won’t be very enjoyable for me
Get yourself an mtl rta if you want the mech.

The SB doesn't have a bottom vent. The fire button functions as the vent. Though I got my first one just a couple of years ago so maybe earlier versions were different.

Come back home Mick ;)
Forget that deeming cr*p. We’ve got the rubbish nicotine law but I’ve already got enough so I’m all good.

Thinking about it for a while. When I make the move depends on what happens over here. My wife is dependent on Obamacare for another 3 years, if they shut that down we'll be hitting the road. Otherwise not until we both retire. We have family here, including a 3 year old GGD.

Nicotine is a bummer. I've got enough to see me through, but I wouldn't be able to bring it with me. I did hear there are ways around the law over there right now. Nicotine labelled not for human consumption and so forth.

That's interesting. Looks like you've been around a lot longer than me so that must have been before my time.

Nope, there was no board in the early SBs ... just wires, and they have always vented around the switch. I have a couple of them & an Omega. What they do have is a "hot spring".

Now if you want an "original" "high end" mechanical.
This is what you want. (Link broken) just remove the spaces

I have two Silver Bullets. In fact, the white one was my very first mod. It's true they didn't have a drilled vent hole, but the fire button was designed to vent. Agree with the comment about the use of a "hot spring".

I used homemade 0.6 ohm coils all the time with no problem. What's the lowest ohm build a Silver Bullet can handle safely?

Here's a nostalgic memory for ya. Grimm Green doing a review of the Silver Bullet in 2009. Initially he was put off by its "huge" size, but it quickly grew on him and he became famous for using a green SB. It was the first 18650 mod that he had used, and he stacked two protected RCR 3 volt batteries (not recommended today) to gain 6 volts in a mech.

Well, their brick and mortar is in OK for one. Their reviews are extraordinarily mixed. Maybe they have them lying around and want to get rid of them.... I've never purchased from them so I can't comment, but their reviews are... I'd read some first. Though they don't appear to be taking them down or anything (if they even could I guess) which is nice. There may be a bit of shilling in the positive reviews, "This vape store is like family to me," always translates to "This vape store IS my family and I'm trying to balance out the reviews," in my head....

I suppose if there's a warranty period you could get one and take your chances. I mean every now and then you run into a great deal.

I would totally read their reviews first....

    Good luck,

    Anna
