Hey everybody just received my new grand in the mail today, and I'm having an issue with the cap on the bottle. The o ring keeps bunching when I screw the bottle on. I took it off, dried it out, slid it back on and tried again, and same thing. Than I got the idea to do a switch- I took Serenity's bottle cap and put it on Clara, than I put Clara's on Serenity. Now Clara's fine and Serenity is bunching! I tried different o rings that I had from my last order ( same size) and I still have this issue. What gives? Is it a deformed cap and or threads? Any guesses, advice?

Thanks!

So, when you switched did you switch the cap with the o-ring? Or did you switch o-rings too?

If you try the non-bunching o-ring in the other cap does it still bunch? Did you look at both o-rings at the same time to compare the size?

I cannot remember who but some posted a topless mod on here. You drill out the drip top for the bottle and insert the tube through it and don't use the top cap or o-ring

Yep, the pic of it is on the Reo Description thread.

Just put the cap aside and use the dripper tip that snaps into the bottle. Drill the hole for the tubing and snap the tip in place.

It works well for those who use juice that makes the o-ring swell and need replacing often.

This is absolutely the way to go. I haven't used an o-ring / cap since a couple of weeks into owning a Reo. That o-ring is the one weak link in the Reo system. Toss the cap. Take the spout / nipple that snaps into the top of the bottle, cut off around a 1/4 inch and get a drill bit the size of the tubing and push it through the nipple. Slide the tubing through the nipple, fill your bottle, and snap the nipple and tubing into the bottle. Push the tubing onto the feeding peg, squonk and vape. This mod allows you to have a perfect seal every time, and works with juices that have citrus oils like Pluid, etc. that have a tendency to blow out / swell O-rings (even Viton will sweel after a few days with Pluid - I have tried).

Here is a good photo of the mod. Try it and you will never go back.
