Orion 2.1 no more flavor

Hello, I have recently got an Orion 2.1. It is stock, and I managed to get it working properly after a few hours of trying. It worked great for the first two or three tanks. However, I am now not getting much flavor from it. I use a lot of cinnamon and menthol flavors, and the inside of the tank is pretty scarred up. I also continually get a hot spot right at the top coil in the space between the last wrap and the post. Any help on any of these issues will be appreciated greatly! I am not ready to give up on this device, but if I cannot find tanks for it, I don't know what else I can do. Thanks!

I do believe it had to do with the wick not being broken in properly.
