Hello I have been vaping Kayfuns for about 4 months now, I have 4 Kayhuns 2 Lite plus's, a Lite and a 91%.So I broke down and paid the high amount for the Mini 2.1 to place in my Akston Huges SL, it fits great in there .
So what I,m finding is that the mini mutes the flavor as a Pro tank does. I have wicked with silica and cotton as I do use both and all my flavors that taste vibrant in the Kayfuns are all muted in the Mini 2.1. Is that the taste profile of the Mini are could I try something different. I have used all my experience that I've learned from my Lite's such as a high coil a low coil and nothing works just muted flavor.

You have me studying mine, the mini seems to be a lot more "airy" than a KFL for example and while the air is adjustable on the mini the restriction needs to be on the outlet for the air not the intake as on many atomizers.
You should post this in the kayfun Lite thread even though it's a mini, http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...r-systems/436118-kayfun-lite.html#post9950617
I wouldn't say mine has muted flavor but it is a little less than a full sized one and that really should be the opposite if anything providing the same power is applied, I took it off my 14500 mod and compared it using an 18650 mod.

Thats a shame. I havent tried one, but after your report, I may steer clear of one if I ever needed that smaller size form factor.

Just a guess and a fleeting thought here, but its almost like a carburator and heads in an engine. Its all about airflow and the size of the chamber. The majic thats going on in the original Kayfun maybe just doesnt work as well in a smaller form factor.

Im just rambling. Thanks for the heads up though !

You might try pm'ing http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/members/96599/vapdivrr.html here on the forum. I think he has one and is pretty knowledgeable about it. I think he even did a video on it for YouTube also...

Thanks, I will PM him and I would say it's a good 40% off flavor and just does not have that bite a full size has KFL does.

Could be, just need more mini users to chime in.

Try a 4/5 wrap of 28g on two pieces of 3mm silica. That was always a great combo on my Mini - it is still in the top 3 of atty's for me.

To be honest I think silica tastes much better in a Kayfun, it might just be me.

Do you have regular K's to compare it with?

I've tried that setup, funny thing is that that what in there now. Cotton has the best flavor just have to vape out the bad taste first.

This is what I make as well in both mini and full sized. I cut the second piece of wick off about 2mm from the ends of the coil.
