Hi HR, sorry I can't be much help but best suggestion, go to the upper right-hand corner of this (or I believe any) ECF page & look for a couple text spaces with magnifying glasses to the right of them. The top one is a Google search of ECF discussions; type in "Orion V2" there, hit "enter" and it should list all the discussions on this subject.

Hope this helps.... Happy Vaping! :toast:

Well after a TON of reading I've discovered that there is like a 4 year apprenticeship needed to build these things to have good results :( .
I wish the guy that sent it to me had given me more than 1 wick to work with as i have no idea how long it's gonna take to get more from the uk.
But anyway!
For those that have the same problem what i have garnered is
1. You can not oxidize the wick enough so try hard!
2. Little almost unseen strands of wick make shorts that are near impossible to troubleshoot so fold the top edge of the wick over so when rolled you are guaranteed no strands!
3. Measure your finished product with a multimeter if your getting anything below 1.5 ohm it is gonna be burnt and taste like crap!
4. Start again cause you almost definitely did something wrong!
5. Start again cause you still did something wrong!

For now it is time to wait for supplies so I can have a proper bash at this setup and some more juice since I've wasted a tonne of it!

I need a ciggy :(

My Advice for people wanting to buy these genesis style attys is DON'T They cost a fortune and they aren't worth it they are fiddly expensive and hard to buy supplies for you WILL waste a heap of stuff trying to work out how to get it working and no one will give you a straight answer you will spend hours trolling through forums to get the slightest inkling of what the hell you are doing wrong. I'm starting to think the only reason people rep these attys up is so they can sell the fecking things after they have paid outrages amounts of money the useless things!

One thing I have learned is mesh and wire wick can be a pain to learn but it does not have to be. This is not for an Orion but it should still help. zenesis coil basics - YouTube

Id say its in the coil. The coils touching the wick the whole way up the mesh? Are both leads as short as they can be? Leads are from pos and neg post to where they touch the mesh (the parts in the air). Will check back in. Dont give up on it though. Once you get it working you will love it. The first run with my Genesis type took two days to get going. The smallest thing could cause an issue but once you learn it, the vape is like none other.

Just took the time to read this. Your freaking out over nothing man. If you would have done your own homework before hand you should have known mostly what to look for, and what to buy with it. Not to cause drama but who should you be upset with here when you think about it. With that said I am here to try and help you so no hard feelings. Even though u are knocking the best set up in the industry to date. Not everything is plug and play. That's what the other stuff is for, but just like anything else. If u want the best, you will pay for it. Otherwise it would not be the best. It would just be normal. I wish you the best of luck. Just let me know if you need anymore help. One more thing to keep in mind when buying this style. If you dont want it then someone will pay even more then you did to have it. Its a no loss situation. Ive peeked in the thread at UK vapors and they are not easy to get.

If you are coming off an eGo to a rebuildable, I would suggest you try a 5 coil wrap. Genesis attys hit VERY hard.

What is your vape style? Chain vaper? Hard puller? The wicking needs time to work and you can vape the wick dry if you pull too hard, too fast. Genesis are all about airflow. Try slower pulls to see the difference. :)

Beyond that, is it wicking well? If you invert at a 45 degree angle and fire, you should have juice dripping out the end of the wick in a minute or so. Is your wick open in the center like a straw? Is your coil wound too tight, impeeding wicking? Do you know what size mesh the one wick you have is?

Is the wick touching the bottom of the tank? Sides of the wick opening?

The video link posted below is one of the best to watch. There is a steep learning curve, but once you get it the vape is amazing.

Edit: since you have no extra wicking it's obvious you didn't buy from Les. Did the former owner make any modifications? A new set up will taste harsh and metallic at first. It take a tank or two to break in unless you know a few tricks. It's something we all just power through. Once it is seasoned like a cast iron skillet, it's amazing.

You will have no problem selling if that is your decision. The wait list for them is quite long now.
