They have been predicting an early winter. Historically, when we get snow this early, it's a long and unforgiving winter.

Wow snow already? it's in the 70's here, but it seems like a lot more geese than usual are flying South. I live right under a major 'geese flight path' and man those birds are noisy, but I love it

Oh man it is hunting season too, I wish I was there!

(Sorry for anyone that does not like hunting. When I do go, we do take the animal home and cook it though, so nothing goes to waste)

@Waylon if I could afford to, I would so be there! 70 degree hunting is perfect for my skinny ..... It gets too cold lol.

@Desertfreshmen Heh I love the winter, cause I can just layer up, summer I can not exactly run around naked if its too hot. People would go blind xD

Kimmy...sorry about the snow. We've been a little cool here but thank goodness none of the nasty white stuff. Hopefully this is just a fluke and not a tale of the winter to come. My son is in Pittsburgh for the first time this winter...he is a little afraid of what might be ahead But we've raised him as a tough Iowa boy so I'm sure he will survive...

My nephew (from Florida) just moved up to Duluth, Minnesota for his first job . . . ya think he'll see any of that stuff?
