Speaking of old games...I am truly old school. The best games of all time were the rogulikes Nethack and Moria. ASCII graphics for the win!! The ultimate in replayability. No 2 games ever alike.

And then there was Wizardry: Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord.

I STILL have my original copy of Proving grounds. To this day it's one of my favorite games.

SAINTS ROW: THE THIRD IN TWELVE MINUTES!!!

Fallout 3 was a good game :) I didn't play it that much...it was DH's game but I loved 1 because it was so different :)

Morandir...yikes! I hadn't even considered that Diablo 3 would be in *that* category <sigh> What a disappointment Duke Nukem was <double sigh> Please, oh, please be good :)

As for Skyrim, stay away from the giants :) Don't even look cross-eyed at 'em :)

I don't even want to discuss how "old school" I am when it comes to games...it's embarrassing :p I realllyyyy don't want to tell you what game systems are still in the house ;) I simply cannot tell you what my favorite games are because THEN you'll KNOW I am older than Pong...er...dirt :)

FF8 is FF8. All differences with the Japanese numbering system stop with FF6 japanese IIRC. =D

Agreed. In fact, FF8 has to be the worst FF game of all time IMO. But I'm an 8 bit fan. I loved the ones for the 8 bit. In fact, I still say most of those older games have more playability and replayability than 99% of the new games these days.

Then again, who am I to say anything. I'm a WoW fiend! "FOR THE HORDE!"
I'm an EQ fanatic myself :D

I had to quit playing WoW. I was in a top100 raiding guild. Had 5 85's and was gold capped on every single one. I spent a ridiculous chunk of my life playing that game. One day I looked at my calendar and realized 90% of the entries were WoW related. It had become a full time job. I canceled funding on all my accounts and uninstalled the game right there.

Been over 6 months now since I quit and haven't looked back since.

Wolfenstein...one of the first computer games I ever played :) Well, IBM-compatible computer, that is :) Loved that game, Lisa :) Of course, the earliest games I played on a computer were text adventures...graphics were a long way off <sigh> But, I got graphics fixes with every game system from Pong on...and on...and on ;) I am STILL collecting game systems and need to quit! I am now too selective a gamer to invest in the hardware just to play a couple of games on the system <sigh> But, there just aren't enough two-player games for the computer...and DH and I love gaming together :) Still...the 3D Nintendo DS looks awfully nice :)

Quickly losing interest in wow. Just paid another six months and unless they can peak my interest with something other than a two tone ninja bear I don't think I'll renew. I'm pretty hooked on bf3 and mw3 now and definitely want to give skyrim a whirl. I too still need to finish the first assassins creed. Great game. Gonna be moving over to the Mac side after the new year with tax return money so i may have to do some partitioning in order to keep running all the games I wanna play...LOL

Ok I am going to admit, I got addicted to WoW, did the private server thing that my friend ran, and I uninstalled WoW... I did not do anything other then that, and I used to roleplay a lot. I have character bio's saved on my computer, and everything... I have been not looking back at WoW for a few months now, and trying to not go back...

Video games like World of War-Crack and even regular system games are ADDICTING as drugs. Yes I am addicted to gaming, but I now have a life, after meeting a really nice girl, and getting away from WoW.

I am currently playing the new Assassins Creed, but on my 1st 360 I had 59 hours in brotherhood, and on my old PSP, I had 100 hours on FF7... I am a dedicated gamer, and I have picked up some cool ideas from games to put in my roleplays, but it will not take over my life again.
