Just some info I found in a quick search. If you are interested in using a pet relocation company?

Below is the contact information for several relocation companies that many pet owners in China have used to import and export pets. You may wish to contact them directly to find out more about bringing your pet into China. While many pet owners may choose to handle the import process themselves, it is still recommended that owners call or send an email to these relocation experts. Relocation companies may also help you determine the best route for transporting your pets and any flight restrictions imposed by airlines on the transport of live animals.

i'm fairly sure from research i was doing a couple of years ago (i can't imagine this would have changed) that for moving a parrot overseas you need a permit from the US Fish & Wildlife Service, since most of their species are protected. i'd check here: Permits - How to Obtain a Permits and here: CITES Appendices first to see if it's going to be doable to move him. he's an african grey, no? you definitely do not want to have him seized by customs (well, i know you don't, i just know you're eager to have him there <3 and advise caution).
