I went to take a battery off charge yesterday and is was hot, not warm but hot. So now I'm worried if its the charger or the battery. Don't want to use the charger if it's going to fry my batteries and don't want to plug the battery into another charger if it's going to fry the charger. Now I'm stuck. Has anyone else had this happen ????

Ambrossiaa, in this circumstance I would contact C.S. immediately especially if both the charger and battery has worked fine together in the past. In the meantime I would use either, just copy the address below and paste into your browser.

support.vapor4life.com

Sorry to hear about it, glad it didn't develop into something more serious.

Thanks guys. But......
Well......... And I guess I should have said this in the first place but.....little embarrassed. The battery is V4L but the charger is from my original starter kit from another company. The charger was for an 808, so I thought compatible. So it my fault....
So I guess I should trash the charger and get another V4L (already have 1).
Should I trash the battery?

I can kind of understand that line of thinking....

However I do believe that if you battery is operating normally, not overheating or cutting out it should be just fine to place on your V4L recharger. Although just to be safe I would check on it periodically just in case. Or as you would probably like to do, simply set it aside or dispose of it if that would make you feel more comfortable.

The thing about electrical items or batteries in general is that if there is a problem, it's always a problem. So if your battery had a short, it would not operate at all, let alone normally. More than likely there was an issue between the non-V4L charger connector and your battery connector which caused your recharger to heat up. That heat was being conducted through the battery housing and had nothing to do with the actual battery inside the housing itself.

Best of luck in whatever you decide to do.....
