I have developed some very painful sores on tip of my tongue over the last two days. I started vaping one week ago on new years eve and haven't (hadn't) had an analog since I got my KR8. I ordered tobacco flavors initially and when I started running out I ordered a bunch of flavored samplers which came two days ago. The tobacco flavors started tasting bad to me and I was so excited about the coffee, thin mint cookie, and tootsie roll that I ordered. However, since starting them two days ago, my mouth is miserable and I had to have an analog earlier to get satisfied because the vaping is really hurting my mouth. :( I have ordered a VG sample pack from Johnson Creek that I should get on Monday and I am hoping that switching to VG will help. I am thinking it is the flavors though, or maybe the mint that is causing me a problem because the PG tobacco flavors didn't bother me the first week...anyone else have trouble with reactions to flavors?

I am numbing myself with orajel which releives the pain a little, but makes me feel like I just left the dentist with a mouth full of novacain. Unfortunately, I still can't vape without misery and I hate that I have stumbled. I have smoked for 30 years and this is the first time I had quit for a whole week and didn't even want an analog...really prefer my PV! I have even got two friends to order starter kits because they saw how great I was doing. Keeping this little stumble to myself so I don't discourage them.

Will this pass???

Sounds like you might be burning your tongue. or you might be alergic to a flavor or to pg. try not letting the vape come right onto your tongue. or switch to vg for a few days and switch flavors.

or it might not even be related. this happens to me sometimes for no reason, they hurt like hell but go away in a few days. hasn't happened since i started vaping though.

Mouth sores can be a symptom of quitting, too. I had a few on the inside of my lip and they went away. Your body is going through a lot of changes right now and the bad gunk from cigarette smoke is going to come out in some not so pretty ways. If you can hang in there and get past the bumps that will happen, you'll be good. I focused on the good things that were happening to me, like not having to use my rescue inhaler. I figured a few mouths sores for a week were a good trade off for breathing better.

Great advice from everyone so far, If you are vaping high concentrations of nicotine I would agree it might be getting on your tongue. IF it turns out to be allergies though just be careful when ordering. My wife is VERY pg sensitive and we have come to find out the HARD way that even the VG based liquids a LOT of times have pg based flavorings! Not enough to bother some people with PG compatibility problems but it still makes my wife breaks out in hives and itch all over. We have found a couple vendors that offer 100% pure VG flavored E-Liquids. If that happens to be your case PM me and I will give you more info. Good luck and stick with it bud!

I am so sorry for your pain; I have been there several times. I just recently got over blisters on my tongue that had me in tears. I don't know that there is any pat answer as to what creates these, but for me, I think that specific juice makers don't agree with my tongue. Ever since my last bout, I have only used my go to juice which doesn't seem to cause the blisters on my tongue.

I did buy a bottle of Oral B mouth rinse for mouth ulcers, and that worked better than the mouth xylecain I had on hand, so you might want to try some of that.

Best wishes for a faster recovery than I had.

Everything posted has been spot on from my experience.

My best advice is keep hydrated.
Vaping takes a lot of moisture from your body.
When I started, I was drinking triple the amount of fluids that was when smoking.
I also was getting a sore tongue & chapped lips.
Mine passed in a few weeks.
You may also get the "quit zits".

Your body is getting acclimated to not getting the thousands of chemicals in an analog.

Sorry to hear about your condition. That sounds quite awful. If you're thinking it might be the juice gettin on your tongue, you might want to consider picking up an 808-510 adapter and some 510 cartos or attys. The 510 has a tiny catch plate that helps block the liquid from getting onto the tongue. Best of luck to you and I hope you heal fast!!

Sorry about your tongue! If you need a softer vaping experence for a while, try a standard (not LR) DSE901 atty with 901 carts or 510/901 drip tip on your KR8 battery (use drip tip only if you have manual batteries because the autos have an open hole in the end). I set that up every night because it's so soft and tasty. I got the hardware at Litcigusa.net (normal 901 atty, 901 carts, aluminum drip tip). The setup makes a lot of fairly cool vapor. And use some soft TH flavors in VG or 50/50. BTW I don't know what you ordered in VG but if you get Boba's Bounty from Avejuice I think that stuff may bother your sores - it is very peppery hot spicy TH for me - a good simulation of inhaling burning stuff like cigarettes but might not be best for your tongue.
