I've been out of the loop for quite some time, and my 510 has been kicking some ..... No complaint for a long time. I am currently wanting to try something new, and was curious what the general public suggested. I was debating about the eGo, but could be swayed a different direction.

Also I am curious if there are any vendors that have been highly recommended lately.

Thank you in advance

The eGo (Janty), Tornado (Totally Wicked), and the "Joye eGo" (heaven gifts, cignot and others, are all Joye devices and have been a sensation with the 510 crowd and have even got other model fans interested enough to try them out. For the most part they are a big hit because it solves the 510 batt needing recharging by having a 650mAh batt which is a bit more in diameter - 15mm x 72mm - but lasts a good 6 hours of vaping. There are also, now, 900mAh batts (heaven gifts) and 1000mAh batts (Totally Wicked/Janty) that last over 10 hours per charge. The 900mAh batts are only 13mm longer than the kit batts and the 1000 are 25mm (an inch) longer that the kit batt. The have 'cones' that fit over the atomizer for a smoother transition into the wider battery and also help with airflow/draw.

And since you already have the 510 equipment you could just get a battery, cone and usb charger - the charger is different and not compatible with 510 chargers or with the regular or mega (280 cig style) batteries. You could get two eGo batts of course and that would still save you from buying an eGo/Tornado kit.

And there are clones. You can look them up on the regular boards. Some are a bit different - one with a proprietary atty as well as battery. Some of the voltage claims on a few of those haven't panned out.

As far as other recommended vendors - all of the ones in the suppliers forums ;-) IOW, best to hit the other boards for more info on that. Welcome Back, freethewhat.

Since you phrased it "try something new" (rather than "get a higher mAh battery for this 510 atty"), there are other directions you could take as well. The eGO (or its clones) will give your PV a new nifty look and many more puffs per battery charge, but the experience of the vape will be very similar. If that sounds good, follow Kent's great advice.

But if you would like a different vaping experience (i.e., the feel of the vape), only a different atomizer will give that to you. That difference could be just greater intensity, which can be accomplished by using an LR 510 atomizer on that eGO. Some flavors (and thicker e-liquids) need those extra watts of power to really blossom ... and the vapor and TH will be dramatically increased when using any e-liquid.

A different model atomizer also will feel different. You could experiment inexpensively by buying a Joye 306 atomizer and using it on your current 510 batts or most other atomizers and their corresponding $2.50 adapter for use on your batts. If you like it, you could spring for the full kit.

My base of operations is the 901/Kr8, i.e., Kr8 batteries and 901 mod fittings (same threading) for use with Kr8 cartomizers and 901 atomizers (no adapter needed) ... and penstyle and 510 atomizers with adapters. [Because of adapter availability, your 510 might be the more convenient base for using the 401 and 4081 atomizers, which I've not tried.]

The Kr8 battery is the most powerful (in voltage and mAh) of the skinny batts. And the 901 is one of the two most common fittings for mods. These days, I've been enjoying using all of those atomizers/cartomizers: each providing a different experience, but only one mod or skinny batt needed to use them all.
