Not highjacking the thread but I feel I owe an explanation: I don't want to come across as a benevolent or rich person but I am older and so are my friends. I am fortunate enough to have a few bucks, some of my friends don't and we were all hooked on cigs, several people are living on SS and smoking just killed them financially (literally), if I can help them out and get them off cigs it makes their life a lot better for not to much money a month, 5-7 dollars a pack kills the little bit of SS they get. Most are vets like myself and are really good people, but at some point you can't work for health reasons but your bad habits still exist, (cigs are addicting as we all know), I found it so easy to quit a 50+ yr habit through vaping and I am passing it forward. A small investment now makes them more self sufficient til they pass (we all do), I know without the right equipment they will go back to cigs so this is my way of keeping them on the straight and narrow, or at least I hope so. I got lucky and started a small business 20 yrs ago (which I still work 3-4 months out of the year), I myself am drawing SS (gives you an idea how old I am) but still make good money with the business and it helps keep me healthy. That's my story. Back to the Evic info, I will get mine tomorrow and so far the only thing I have read that bothers me is it doesn't do watts automatically like my kick does or the Zmax, but I can live with that and I hope it can be fixed with an upgrade via computer.
****Can anyone confirm if it works with kanger threads?
I asked a few pages back and was told that a Kanger T2/T3 fits just fine.
I saw a picture of the top of a Ovale/Joyetech eVic, and it doesn't look like it has eGo threads, which is what the Kranger has, I believe. You can probably get an adapter though.
It does. See Vappa's review: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/vappa/3449-review-my-ego-evic-pv-part-i.html
He confirms that he did use a T3 on it, and has a picture with the top cone removed that clearly shows the eGo thread.
To me it looks like a big gimmick. A device for people that think by using this they will have a better vaping experience. Really if you think a little you know it is not. It might be appealing all the LED's and settings but really it is not going to blow you away or be any better then what is already out there. You can give this device to a novice and he/she will have the same crappy vape if they don't know what to put on top of it. IMHO it is about the heat of the wire, not so much voltage or wattage or how shiny the unit looks. After 3 years + of vaping every device that has been on the market I dare to say that the best vape is achieved when you have all the variables perfect: the device, the batteries, the the ingredients, all together in harmony will give you that experience. You can achieve that with little money, no fancy high tech devices but with the knowledge of what those variables mean.
It is like cooking: you think a digital oven will make a better dish?

Some people get the wrong impression of the features on the eVic. No matter who many gadgets are on a device, it will not improve vaping experience. It is the delivery mechanism that determines flavor. BTW, more competitors with newer gadgets will follow, so there are bound to be more comments like this made. If you don't want a Ovale/Joyetech, then by all means, don't buy one.
few pages back i posted "bells and whistles" and got chastised also,,

Let's wait and see until you have used it for a year. Until then: happy vaping on whatever gives you a good vape![]()
