Overheating can happen if you overdo it with a manual switch, use a high-voltage source or maybe a stuck automatic battery switch. On the other hand, the atomizer just may be FTD (fixin' to die). Do supply more info about the problem, though.

I used to overheat just by vaping too much. Had to learn to regulate myself.

I know, I do that too sometimes, cuz it's not like a cigarette, where you can just drag and drag away as fast as you can. When I'm just vaping here and there all day and set it down, it's fine, but when I can't vape for a few hours and I need a power vape and you want to puff and puff and puff on it to get your fix, it has overheated for me also. That's when I realize if I need it that bad, then I need to up the nic level a tad, then come back down.

I cut medium nic 50 / 50 with VG. I also keep a bottle of uncut heavy nic. In the morning, I pour my coffee and spike with the heavy for a few puffs, than go to the light. Sometimes a spike during the day helps me out.

Another tip. I keep stronger nic in my carry case. When I out and using my batteries, I can't vape as long as when I'm inside with my passthrough. the heavy nic gives me my fix in just a couple of puffs. Then I'm on my way.
