Over heating RBA

So I just got an AGA T2 I got it all set up and working fine . But after vaping for only 5-10 minutes the outside metal cap of the AGA gets extremely hot ! To hot to even touch sometimes .
Did I set it up wrong , to high of a voltage , or it this normal ?

The cap can get quite hot. What resistance coil are you running? What device are you using it on?

If it's getting so hot that it will actually burn you, it's likely (and I say this a lot in AGA-T threads) that your connections are loose somewhere. This can cause the current to heat up the deck and in turn, the cap, making the whole thing extremely hot. If it's getting that hot, check your connections -- it's easy to have a loose connection (even when you think you're 'sure') on this rba's positive post. The nuts are a bit of a poor design choice because it can be difficult to properly torque them down enough to make a solid connection.

Ya I am running a 1.4 ohm coil , on an evic . Also what do you recommend voltage wise , this is my first RBA . I will try to tighten connection see if that's the problem . Thanks

I'd try 3.4 volts & go from there...I'm not an old hand at this but have found that I can add 2 volts to the resistance reading & get a decent vape. Then tweek.

I should add that many of the more experienced folks are using more volts than what I posted. Some use a LOT more. Most of my set-ups haven't been good enough for that kinda wattage. Yet.
