As most of you know, I just started with DIY. Actually, I just got started with vaping as a whole (started out with minis back a month or so ago, and just bought my first pv about a week ago). Since then, I've been on an accessory/supply/flavor frenzy. I swear, I didn't plan on sinking this much money into it. However, I think that in the long run, it will be worth it. After I finally settle on what I can vape flavor-wise, I shouldn't need to do as much buying.
Currently, I have numerous flavors that I simply don't think I'm going to like. From what mixing and testing I've done so far, I've found that I just don't like sweet flavors. Butterscotch, toffee, cherry, none of those have been satisfactory for longer than the first couple hits. After that, they seem to turn sour to me, leaving a horrible aftertaste, almost sickening. The only thing I've been able to vape is a menthol tobacco flavor I bought from RTS. I smoked menthol cigs for years.
The following is a list of the flavors I have right now. More is on the way, though they are strictly tobacco and complementary flavors.
This is what I have coming:
RY4 Double Flavor - 4 oz - Perfume Apprentice
Menthol Crystals - 1 oz - Perfume Apprentice
Hazelnut Flavor - 4 oz - Perfume Apprentice (The small hint of nutty flavor that is in my current menthol tobacco flavor is extremely appealing. I want to play with it.)
Menthol Flavor - 4 oz - Seedman
Commercial Cigarette Flavor - 4 oz - Seedman
Honey Flavor - 4 oz - Seedman
(The above Seedman's are tobacco flavors)
I'm fairly sure that I will be able to put all these previous flavors to good use. It's the following that I'm worried about. These are all those I ordered before knowing that sweet flavors probably aren't my thing:
English Toffee (TFA) - 30 ml bottle,
Strawberries & Cream (TFA) - 30 ml
French Vanilla (TFA) - 120 ml
Butterscotch (TFA) - 120 ml
Whipped Cream Flavor (TFA) - 30 ml
Black Cherry (TFA) - 120 ml
Pineapple Flavor (TFA) - 120 ml
Ripe Bananna Flavor (TFA) - 120 ml
Coconut (concentrated) Flavor (TFA) - 120 ml
Cotton Candy Flavor (TFA) - 120 ml
Cheese Cake from DIY Flavorshack (These from DIY Flavorshack came with a kit I ordered. Didn't order them separately.)
Poundcake from DIY Flavorshack
Holy Vanilla from DIY Flavorshack
Butterscotch from DIY Flavorshack
Sugar Cookie from DIY Flavorshack
Vanilla Minkshake from DIY Flavorshack
English Toffee from DIY Flavorshack
I -might- be able to use these:
Spearmint Flavor (TFA) - 120 ml
Creame de Menthe Flavor (TFA) - 120 ml
I know I made a mistake by buying larger quantities of flavors. I figured I'd be saving in the long run with shipping if I just bought all I could with less separate orders. Really, who doesn't like vanilla or butterscotch?! Apparently I don't when vaping. Either that or I'm mixing nearly everything wrong.
The point of this thread. Does anyone have any suggestions how to include any of the sweet flavors into tobacco mixes without killing it? I seriously don't want to end up having to throw all this away because I never use it.
