I'm using both 2.0 and 2.7 ohm types, depending on whether the juice is light and fruity or dark and tobacco-based. I use 50/50 pg/vg juices from FSUSA. I fill with about 16 drops (give or take), let them sit for about 24 hours and then top off if they do not seem completely wet. I then start vaping on Riva 510 900 mah batteries. Actually, to this point everything is fine.

However, I vape heavily and top off every hour or so to ensure that I do not burn or singe the cartomizer. After topping off, it seems as though the flavor is gone, the draw is difficult, and the amount of vapor is reduced. I have read in various posts here on ECF that it is pretty hard to overfill a cartomizer, but I do wonder if that might be what I am doing. Especially since about a half an hour after topping off, the flavor returns, the draw is easier, and the vapor production increases.

So, am I actually managing to overfill when I top off?

Thanks.

dekalbave..........It is entirely possible to overfill a carto. When your topping off you really need to look inside the carto to make sure it's not flooded. It should look moist not slushy when you top off. Another sign of overfill is the wet gurgling sound you will hear when taking a draw. If the same situation happens again I would try blowing in to the carto while holding the bottom under a napkin or kleenex to remove some of the excess liquid. That generally works for me!

Cheers!
