Okay guys, I'm completely new to this whole e-cigarette thing and I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed. I'm hoping that someone can be able to suggest a few things for me. I've gone through the stickies here (My brain hurts from all the info :p ) but I still have a couple questions that I want to get cleared up if someone would be so kind.

I'm quitting smoking (American Spirits for the past 5 months, and Marlboro's for the past 4.5 years) and I'm a little tentative about this. Can vaping really replace my habit? :/ I made it a personal promise that the day after I graduated from college that I would no longer place (As you guys call it) an analog to my mouth again.

First off - I'm thinking about getting the Trueman Riva but I'm kind of unsure as to whether or not this is the e-cig pack that lots of people have been talking about: TRUEMAN-RIVA eGo with 2 atomizers_Starter kit or if this reseller company is repackaging their own brand and calling it a Riva? I'm kind of just worried about being ripped off like a friend of mine. If you can suggest a website that you use or find more reputable it'd be much appreciated.

So this starter kit comes with a couple different cartridges which from the stickies say that they'll last probably 5 or so cigarettes worth of puffs. In that case I should definitely buy some of these 10ml bottles just to try out different flavors right? I also want to know how many spare parts I should purchase if I don't want to have something break or run out on me.

Also, I'm definitely want to mod whatever I get, how moddable is this starter pack that I've chosen? It seems to be a manual battery so that would make it easier correct?

Lastly, I was looking around that website some more and they have something that is way cheaper here: The cheapest 510 TRUEMAN-i510 E-CIG _Starter kit Why is this one so much cheaper than the Riva? Is the build quality lower?

Thanks so much in advance guys/gals. I look forward to vaping with you soon!

Yes vaping can get you off analogs. It has worked for many but not all. It is working for me 95 days no smokes!

Trueman Riva looks like a good price. They are just putting their name to a Riva.

The reason the other one is so much cheaper is that it is a 510 pen style with small batts. Go w/the Riva

With the Riva yoiu can use LR atty's, Cartos etc. You can not do that w/the penstyle 510. After you are into vaping for a while then look at a true Mod. Even with a MOD you will find the Riva/eGo batts still come in handy

Welcome and best of luck

Definately order a few different types of 10 ml bottles (imho). Prefilled cartridges can taste pretty bad and put you off of vaping. Try the cartridges for an hour or so. If they don't catch your fancy - rinse out the cartridges (remove the batting, rinse, dry and replace) and refill with a flavor your ordered.

On spare parts - it's always wise to start with a couple extra atomizers on hand as these have the shortest life and make the biggest difference to how well you enjoy vaping.

Also - keep your parts clean. They last longer and work better.

Happy vaping and congrats on graduating College!

Yes! eCigs will get you off analogs. I smoked heavily for over 55 years, and quit the same day I got my first eCig kit - a Joye 510, and I haven't smoked since. I would recommend buying a Joye eGO kit from one of the suppliers here on ECF. I would also suggest you buy a couple of extra batteries, attys, and about 10 empty cartridges. As far as juice goes, I would visit one of the juice suppliers here on ECF (I like http://freedomsmokeusa.com/index.php) and suggest that you buy several small - 3ml to 6ml - bottles of juice in flavors that appeal to you, and try them all before you decide on a couple that you like and want to buy larger bottles of - usually abot 15ml to 30ml. And Best of Luck to You!

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome! :) I think I'll shop around in the suppliers section and try and find a deal. For the most part I should start with the Riva 510 correct? I think I'm just going to try and keep it simple for right now, get this one, refill the carts that come with it, and see where to go from there?

Thanks a bunch for all your input guys. I'm looking at flavors now. :D

Also, I cannot post in other forums persay the rules here - but this looked like a great deal until I found that the coupon expired. D: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...s-2-battys-chrgr-only-32-pacificecig-com.html

EDIT: I've been looking around on FreedomSmokeUSA and I've noticed that they state that they're 50% PV and 50% VG, if I'm going to be using a RIVA 510 it won't cause any problems with that mixture correct?

Just bought from MadVapes. :) Thanks for the tip! I got the 510 Manual Battery Kit (Black), no Box that came with:
2 Matte Black 510 Atomizers
2 Matte Black 510 Manual Batteries with Blue Led
5 Empty Flat tip 510 Cartridges
USB Charger
10ml bottle Marlboro 24mg e-liquid.

and then I got some other flavors from MadVapes as well. I got two 5ml bottles. How long can I expect these to last? At 2 dollars each it's much cheaper than smoking 1/2 a pack a day already. :)

Look forward to getting it in the mail now, I'm excited! :D

How long your juice lasts is completely dependent on you and how much you vape. I've heard the average is 3-5ml per day. I would still get some more juice, if I were you. You can check out VaporBomb for more juice. Those guys are also awesome! You'll get lots of selection, great prices and fantastic service. I recommend the Blueberry Cinnamon Crumble, Cafe Mocha, and Hypnotic Mist. Get yourself several 5ml bottles so you can give yourself a good chance of finding something you really like and not waste money on something you might hate. We'll turn into a postal worker stalker yet.

Hey WomanOfHeart - I think I must have seen you post about VaporBomb a couple of times and ordered from them yesterday. I'm intrigued that no one can explain the Hypnotic Mist. Also ordered the Cafe Mocha. They shipped that order the same day. FAST service....can't wait to try it but have a bunch of Ms.T's to try out too that are really good. Love the Kickin' Apple!

Yes tastypotato it does work. And for some, like me, it almost seems too easy. These guys and gals have given you some good info. Anytime you have questions or just want to comment, feel free.

Its a great bunch of people here and they are always willing to help. No question too dumb or too smart. Huh? No job too big or too small. Whatever.

And btw, welcome to ECF

I'm a huge fan of VaporBomb and their Hypnotic Mist (among other flavors). Hypnotic is just one of those flavors that's a riddle, wrapped up in an enigma, and shrouded by mystery. I'm still trying to figure out how best to describe the flavor, but it always escapes me. All I can say is that it is one of the best vapes I've ever had, and one of those "must-try" flavors.

Yes, it is easy to switch. I first started investigating this option after getting considerable flack from not only my program director but also my classmates (in a dental assisting program) about the cigarette smell that was always on me. We started first with a couple of those "free trial" (BTW----I really don't suggest you go this route as it is extremely easy to get ripped off) offers. Well within a few days, we shipped those back and I ordered my first ecig. I got a week ago this last Friday and spent the weekend flipping back and forth. I began to notice how crappy I felt after smoking an analog and I think I had my last analog a week ago tomorrow (Sunday). Been vaping ever since.

I was pleased with VaporBomb too. I ordered a few juices to sample and they threw in a sample of Irish Cream for free. That's a flavor I never would have picked out to order and it's turned out to be one of my favorites.
