You'll be happy with the 510 as a starter kit, bought mine 2 weeks ago and have been of the analogs for 2 weeks now. Make sure you keep the spare battery on the charger, I am draining the batteries pretty fast but have my other 2 charged or charging. I am already looking to upgrade to a larger battery system but have not made any decision yet. The only time I have serious withdrawls is first thing in the morning but i vape away and it passes. Good luck!!!

my first round of orders, i went all middle of the road. 50/50.

My next order i bought one flavor three times. one a 20/80, one a 50/50, and one a 80/20. Try to time it so that you will know which you prefer before you run out of stuff. This way, on your third order, youll know what mixture you prefer. it was a good little experiment. and it is one i try to get others to do once they decide they like vaping. Personally, i enjoy the 50/50 but you may be differant.

And hey, if it turns out that youre like me and like the 50/50 best, you can always mix the 20/80 and the 80/20 together to get a 50/50 mix.

First how much did you smoke? I smoked 3 packs on average per day. I had to vape 36mg when I first started to cut my cravings. The riva/eGo you mentioned is the one alot of us have. There is also the eGo (basically the same as a riva). You will get more flavor, more vapor, and better battery time. On my riva/ego's, it takes me about 3-4 hours to wear the battery out. The 510 is also an excellent choice. I started with this one. Good flavor, good vapor, but the battery only lasted me about an hour. If I were you, start with an eGo or riva. It's worth the little extra money. Also, buy an assortment of juice that you want to try. Once you find the perfect one, stick with it and you'll never want another analog again. Welcome and happy vaping.

Step up to an eGo or a Riva. You won't regret it.

Been vaping for 4 days now. :) Gotten a bunch of different juices from MadVapes and am looking to branch out to different sites that have more variety. I've been looking at FreedomSmokeUSA but does anyone else have some other favorite sites?

For liquid, my favorite site (and only site from now on) is freedomsmokeusa. If you buy from FSUSA, and when you find your favorite juice, it's cheaper to buy the 120mL bottles for $40, which comes out to $10 per 30mL.

Coupon code: freedomsmokeusa

Vaping definitely got me off of analogs- a small miracle, given that I've been trying to quit for 10 years using more methods than I can count.

As far as e-liquid goes- I started off with cheap liquid from strictly e-juice...I was reasonably satisfied with it till I went out on a limb and got some stuff from FreedomSmokeUSA...their juice blows everything else I've tried away. I've settled in with them and go with 60/40 PG/VG mixes for good throat hit with solid vapor production, favorite flavors thus far have been Hypnotic Mist, Tiramisu, and Coconut. Their Cola is pretty good as well. Like the rest of the commenters, I would advise getting small bottles of different flavors until you find the flavors that really "do it" for you. Good luck!

My first real e-cig was the eGo, which I picked up from Cignot. Not sure of pricing differences, but Cignot has been AMAZINGLY AWESOME to work with. Vicki is fantastic, and offers great advice for people just starting out (without being AT ALL pushy).

Give them a look before you click purchase. I made the switch to full time vaping a month ago and I'm never going back.

My advice is to buy the following 3 things when you start:

1) A kit with pre-filled cartomizers (not cartridges). Cartomizers last longer between refills!
2) A kit with a PCC (personal charger case). Always having a fresh battery is key to quitting analogs.
3) A USB Passthrough (If you smoke inside/in front of the computer).. makes it very convenient.

Don't worry so much about dripping, but do order a bottle of juice if one is not included and look up the info on CCFM (Cartomizer Cap Filling Method) - youtube username dogsbody.

Good Luck!

Wow! After you've had more experience with vaping and have tried more products, you'll most likely change your mind about the four recommendations in the last part of your message. The Cignot recommendation is fine, though, and I agree.

By the way, it's never a good idea to plug a PT into the computer USB port. The USB port only supplies .5amps, and the PT needs 2amps to work properly and work every time. You can get 2amp AC to USB wall adapters at madvapes.com for just under $10. They also have 2amp Car to USB adapters for $6.99. They ship from NC. Using the wall adapter(s) will ensure that your motherboard doesn't burn out, and you won't have to just vape at the computer. This little-known fact is something you'll learn by reading lots of passthrough threads here.

A PCC is not needed, if you have two or more eGos, especially if they are 900mAh or higher.

Pre-filled cartomizers are usually bad-tasting or almost empty (due to not being filled recently and the effect of evaporation). It's best to buy blank, empty cartomizers and fill with your own liquids. Then you won't have to flush out the cartos or vape them mixed with the bad liquids and your favorite liquids.

The CCFM (condom method) for refilling cartomizers takes longer and is messier than simply dripping directly into the filter from the mouth end of the cartos. 19 to 20 drops for new cartos and about 10 to 15 drops when refilling cartos, depending on how empty you vaped it.

This was definitely a helpful post, and even tho' I'm still sitting with my eGo in a shopping cart waiting to hit the checkout button, I'm now also filling a cart at vaporbomb, and including the Hypnotic Mist mentioned here.

Afraid as OCD as I tend to be, I'm gonna need LOTS of blank carts & liquids ;o) But it surely will leave little time for me to think about the analogs.
