vaping on my Sigelei 100w box mod, 2x 18650 vtc3's, Plume veil clone rda by aether tech, quad coil sitting at approximately .2 ohms and running it on 40 watts. my friend went to hit my vape and got almost like a mini explosion in his mouth/throat. same thing happened to me yesterday. it's almost like a plume of hot air rushing out, It made me cough pretty hard, and having just transitioned from 12mg liquids to 0mg i tend to never cough. the coils are all still firing off properly, i had swapped the cotton, and after it happened to me yesterday i re wrapped my coils and started everything fresh but it happened to my friend today. what could it be? the liquid is a custom mix from my buddy at the local shop it's a 50/50 mix. please LMK if you have any ideas what it could be.:confused: have also been getting through check atomizer error message a lot. Could my atty be shorted out?

Just watched the pbusardo review at tasteyourjuiceDOTcom on the Sigelei 100w box mod. Still don't know about the explosion but the lowest resistance is 0.15 ohms so it sounds like your coil might be getting a slight short somewhere that is dropping the resistance below the limit and causing the check atomizer error message.

Somtimes when I'm using my Sigelei 100 if my atty isn't tightened all the way the resistance will jump up a little bit and cause the mod to fire at a higher voltage. My coil right now is a 0.3 but a couple times it hasn't been tightened down all the way and it jumped to 0.6 and fired at a higher voltage.

yep or check to make sure all the screw are tight inside. I have one atty where the post screw likes to loosen ever few days. And every once in a while i get a pop from dripping. It is just the nature of the beast. It is why the Aspire BVC coils have the mesh spit guard in them.

tighness can matter for resultant watts/volts.

4 coils at .2 ohm and 40 watts is 10 watts per coil, and about 2.83 volts.

4 coils at .3 ohm and 40 watts is still 10 per coil, but it is 3.46 volts

4 coils at .4 ohm and 40 watts is 10 per coil, but 4 volts.

at 0.6 it is 4.9 tongue roasting volts.

The closer you get to zero, the more important accuracy becomes. And lets be honest, four coils turning liquid into vapor all at the same time is a violent reaction akin to tossing droplets of water or frozen chicken into a deep fryer... violent.

Not wrong, just warranting more respect.

It could also be that your coils are slightly out of balance - if one is heating faster or slower than the others it can do funny things. Resistance can often drop a little from your test bench specs after the burn-in period.
