Hello David and the Prestigious Owners of the P-16 and P-18's.

This is the ONLY extremely small issue to date with my P-18: When standing my unit on end (the button side down) and fully locked and loaded! All need to make sure your unit is NOT firing? I had mine standing up for 10 minutes while eating the other day and YES! it became very hot around the atty and fitting. The simple fix is to remove the brass washer from under the negative connector, IF you experience this also? This unit is Wayyyy too Precision(the benchmark for ALL others) and most assuredly worth the price!

Thanks David and BRAVO - GREAT Design! :vapor::vapor::2cool:

That happened to me as well but only with the LifePO4 batts. I removed the spacer.

And I forgot to add:oops: it is with the AW 18650 batteries. I have not yet tried it with any others. Maybe another o-ring is needed? But then the atty cap would become too tight when completely screwing it down.

Nope, you did the right thing by removing a washer...when you remove washers it increases the distance you have to depress it, which makes the switch have to go father below the protective horns to fire and makes it much more difficult to accidentally fire. Some like a hair trigger though so one need only add washers for that effect.:)

David,

Some other units may call them washers but on the Precise there are known as spacers or shims :)

If you are dripping on an 801 it is roughly the same as a 510, 3 drops or so. If you are talking about a cart then I have no idea(only use at HV)
I believe the p16 and p18 only come with one adapter of your choice.
David said he had about an inch left of polishing on some of the p18s but that does not necessarily mean that ours are the ones he is referring to but I hope he was.

Hey Don,

801 atties are juice tanks and are a lot more forgiving when dripping. You will need to add between 6-8 drops to prime it where in 510s and 901 you would usually add about 4 drops. When it's time to add more drops, 3-4 will usually get the job done.

... plus

20-22 drops to fill a cart if you are not dripping.
