P16 help

Just wondering if anyone could help. I use trustfire 16340 batteries in my p16. I have a problem with connection at times. It will hit great for a few hits and then it seems to vary in hit consistency. Sometimes it won't hit at all. It will do this even with a freshly charged battery. It is a mechanical mod so I am sure it is something simple. I have cleaned all the connections and it did not help. Am I just using the wrong batteries? Thanks in advance.

Is that a PrecisePlus with Rhodium contacts or an older P16 with brass? If they are brass, they may need cleaning, also, trustfire batteries use a plated plastic protection circuit on the bottom that wears through the plating quickly and makes for poor connection . Ditch those batteries in favor of the AW's, you'll get much more voltage under load (.2-.4 tenths) and a few hundred more mAh.

It is p16 with brass. I did clean the connections. I had a feeling it may have to do with the batteries. Thanks so much for the advice. I will have to order some aw's and give it a shot .
