p18 how long will the finish last?

talking about the shine. how do we take care of it to make it "like new" for a longer time?

i have an original super t1 and next to the p18 it is night and day.

There are tons of Metal Polishes out there................pick one.

I am sure someone will chime in stating this or that is the best, but any one of them will be better then nothing.

I'm a member on several watch forums and I found that for SS watch bands with the brushed finish you can take out scratches and bring them back to a new look with just a green scouring pad, and from the look on these devices I would think it should work just as well. That's what I'll try when the time comes.

I personally have only used 2 products, Cape cod polishing clothes and Mothers, Mothers is for car rims I believe. I liked both but not 100% sure if you are suppose to use them on steel or not. The cape cod clothes are very convenient but are way too expensive IMO. Mothers lasts a long time but you go through quite a few dollar store microfiber clothes. I purchased some flitz cuz I have also heard good things about that. The bottle says it works on SS and brass and that it cleans polishes and protects. That is my experience, I am sure any of the major polishes will work fine.

the t1 is alu.

the precise is Stainless Steel.

the Stainless will look better A LOT for longer than alu.
take care of it...and it will outlast you.

Stainless ages extremely well and should not require any kind of polishing. I've had mine since 7/31 and I haven't done anything to it.

It is developing a "one of a kind" look, but the quality remains

mice is getting a polishing from use but still (as far back as i can remember) looks just like it did when I got it.
I think David chucks them up and polishes with 400 grit wet/dry but that's in a lathe.
It'd be hard to recreate that same finish without the spin.

My T1 and Super6 I do with mothers. It's a mirror..

I use mothers on both aluminum and stainless steel. It won't take out scratches unless they are really minor, especially in the stainless steel. If anyone ever wants a touch up on your Precise, S6 or T1's, just send it my way with 5 bucks return postage and i'll chuck it up in the lathe and give it a nice hairdo again

This is great news. I am especially hard on my mods and am very happy to have this offer. My other 2 mods which are made mostly of aluminum, but will remain nameless have been dropped many times, and I can not get the gouges out by myself. I am very happy to hear this and I CAN NOT WAIT TO GET MY P18!!!!!!!! Order 3343
