P2.5 issue, kinda.....

Cleaned my 2.5, added two tatroe extensions for 18650, cleaned all threads and battery contact and 510 with a q-tip & alcohol. For about an hour it was reading the battery just fine, but the 1.8 ohm (checked on my P3) was reading 1.3, and it wouldn't fire. Brand new AW battery, opened it up thought just maybe some alcohol got down inside, wasn't sure.... let it breathe for a while. Same thing still happening, checked ohms 1.3....... set it down leaned against my leg, went to reach for my P3, looked at it just before the display shut off, and it switched from 1.3, to 1.8, now it fires. Really strange.

My question is, has anyone run into anything like this? And what's the lowest ohms the 2.5 will accept?

Update. Got an E8 error. If I hold it to where I can read the display normal, reads the atty at 1.3, I can turn it over upside down and it'll read the atty correct and fire..... any ideas?

Stock coil or rebuildable? Only time I ever saw anything like this I had a loose leg on a coil, tightened the screw a bit and it went away...

What atty is involved here?

Have you tried it dumbed down? Remove the Tatroe's and try it in 18350 mode.

Has a wrap over the tatroes. (Just got the wrap put on today, really don't wanna destroy it yet. LOL) atty is a 1.8 ohm (Nauti bvc coil) silo

Silo is sitting pretty on my P3 with no issues at all right now.....

Time to get aquainted with the repair team it sounds. They received my Ti mini on Wednesday and shipped it back out today, it is really a pleasure dealing with them from my own experience, very nice folks. Good luck to you! ( not that you'll need it )

Tried the wife's Nauti, same thing, different battery, same thing, except E5 error this time.... it's an oldie but a goodie, probably time for a check up.

Yeah, I'm well acquainted with them, well not the repair team technically, but sent my P3B in for an update, there and back in less than a week. Those guys are amazing.

Cut the wrap.

Remove the extension rings and test with a 18350 as suggested, before mailing it back.

Sounds like sound advice to me...
