Hello everyone I am new to the forum. I have smoked analogs for about 4 years before I switched to vaping a month ago. I currently vape a 24mg classic menthol e liquid. Ive noticed that my heart has started to hurt a lot and it just doesn't "feel" right. Ive never had this problem when I was smoking analogs but it came on the second day of vaping. Some times it hurts a little and some times a lot; when I mean a lot I feel like its stopping and not getting oxygen. Also it hurts on the right side sometimes as well. I looked up the effects of high nicotine ingestion and It kind of scared me. It says that it causes thickenings in the arteries, it can cause the heart to have palpation's and a whole sloe of other things. I never really looked any of these things up until now. I am very worried about this. Has anyone had similar experiences or anything like this happen? Maybe my nicotine level is too high or is something else a playing a factor here? Advice and help is welcome.

BEST ADVICE = SEE YOUR DR ASAP,,,,secondly I would drop your Nic level ASAP as well, or even stop vaping until your checked and feel better and know your OK.

You also said your using 24mg but didnt mention what ecig and Carto/Atty your using, make sure your not vaping burnt up stuff in a carto or your Atty is bad and either arent producing bad vapor/ burnt vapor or nothing else is burning in your set up.

Do you work out? Are your ribs sensitive to the touch? My wife said it sounds like costochondritis (chest wall inflammation). She is a Dr. Thick arteries from smoking takes many many years. Its not usually caused by nicotine but the tar and such associated with smoking analogs. Anxiety will give you chest pains also. You will know if it is too much nicotine, it will make you sweat and feel sick to your stomach. Try some NSAIDS (advil, motrin) and see if that helps with the pain. Could be muscular or inflammation.

Good comments so far. Another thing to consider is that, at least for me, it is very easy to vape way more than I smoked. I'm not hacking up a lung trying to vape so I keep going and burn through the juice a lot faster than I may have a pack of smokes. Someone commented one another post I made about nic absorption and such ... they probably know way more than I do :) But, you may just be getting way too much nic at a time. Also, is there a possibility the OP could be hitting an allergic reaction? Again. someone more knowledgeable than I can probably offer better insight.

I don't work out and my ribs are not sensitive to the touch. The pain comes on in waves, sometimes the left side will hurt and sometimes the right side but never both at once. I don't sweat or get sick to the stomach when vaping either. I tried chewing tobacco at a young age and know what you mean by the stomach sickness. I think its important I include that I work at an Alpaca farm which is very dusty although I do wear a dust mask.

Pack of Camel Silvers a day, and on a "bad day" a pack and a half.

I smoked a pack a day, sometimes more myself. The silvers are a light, 24 mg is probably too high nicotine for you. I started at 12 mg. It doesn't really sound like an allergy to PG, but it could be. I'd make an appt with my doc and discuss it with him, and get a check up just to be on the safe side.

Edit: Looked up Camel Silver, it says they have 4mg of nicotine, before they were labeled with color designations, the camel silvers were known as super lights. I would say you definately have too high of a nicotine content, but if your chest is hurting I would still see the doctor, could be a sign of something else unrelated to vaping.

Are you vaping PG or VG? You could be havig reactions to PG as its very common. Can you replicate the pain by pressing on your chest? Been sneezing a lot?

Yeah, you really have to talk to your doctor about this. There could be a few causes, some of which could have nothing to do with vaping. The timing could be coincidental.

In the meantime I would cut down both the nicotine level AND the amount you are vaping, to see if this helps your symptoms at all.

Im vaping PG, I cant replicate the pain by pressing on it but I have been sneezing noticeable more than usual. Also the pain is more towards the sides of my chest, closer to the arm pits.

My wife said it sounds like allergic reactions or it could be inflammation from sneezing which inflames the cartilage. Try vaping VG and take some advil or aleve and see if that helps with the pain. The inflammation will get worse will certain foods and drinks, especially coffee. It will go away very quick if its a reaction to PG after you stop.

I've been vaping for a bit over 6 months now. Any time I have too high of a nic level (24mg) I get those pains, too. I'm down to 6-12 mg now. Also, drink lots of water. The pg & vg use your bodies fluids to make the vapor. Thus, you get dehydrated really easy. Which causes muscle aches and pains. Drink at least 5 or 6 large glasses of water a day. More if you can. I drink over one gallon (no joke) of water every day, now.

I agree that you should definitely see a doctor, and definitely decrease your nic level.

Not to downplay your concerns or symptoms at all, but you used the word "ingestion" which to me implies "eating". It's hard enough for vapers to get the nicotine in the vapor into our lungs; I seriously doubt we're getting it into our stomachs. :) Also, that 24mg is "per ml", so every draw you take on your PV does not contain 24mg.
