I have some painted 808 cartos that I want to use in a tank. What is the easiest and safest way to remove the paint? Will goo gone or something similar do it?

...try fingernail polish remover(acetone)...I dunno, are those plastic, might melt with anything that will remove paint......

It is metal, and nail polish remover w/acetone doesn't phase it. I wonder if it would be safe to use in a tank as is?

...huhmph...hmmmmmm, if the acetone didn't phase it, I think, if that is what I wanted, I would go ahead and use it...as always, such decisions are yours to make and YMMV...............
