well this post won't help any, but i think tagging personal mods is a great idea! i'm going to put some effort into coming up with a stencil of my family crest i could spray onto each mod. from one ginger bearded dude to another, thanks for the idea!

There are probably hundreds of ways to personalize a mod from decals to gluing on metal medallions-----I've seen those skulls and cross bones in the auto

mobile customizing dept at Walmart or Car parts place or a hardware store and a lot of neat little things in the Hobby Lobby Store---many ideas to choose

from-----just walk through the hobby lobby store and many ideas can come to you..........here is what I did last winter to dress up my home made box

mod.....it is an old silver belt buckle.......

very interesting! thanks for posting those pictures! i'm very interested in coming up with some custom decal that i could plasti-dip onto all my box mods. i really like using the silicone sleeves on all my mods, but they're almost all somewhat clear, so the decal would still easily be seen.

I have tried painting the silicone sleeve on my 50 watt--eleaf Istick--that way you could just change the sleeve- for 3.00--but the paint just peels off...here

is a pic of my eleaf istick on the right painted silicone sleeve--white and my Smokless owl squonker on the left..painted the Derringer.clone to match...

You could find something on the Internet in the millions of different images out there and change it with your basic photoshop and then print it out

and glue it on and clear coat it over--use heavy grade paper---here is what I did using this

method..box is from an Istick vv3..emty area in box filled by taping small ejuice bottles

together with electrical tape.50watt mod was too small for my hand so after putting it in the

box it and cutting hole for fire button came out just right....

Since you want to paint it, you probably need to have the surface acquire a little "tooth" so the paint and adhesive can find a purchase to grip the paint. Light sandblast or chemical etch (material dictates) works for the professionals, but you will unlikely have these options available. Suggest considering sandpaper with various grits ending up with around 400 grit. 200 start to 400. Might want to get the right type of grit for the material (plastic or metal?). Recommend alcohol (remove oils etc.) wipe, when ready to paint.
You were the biggest help of all BrotherBob! Thank you so much! I wouldn't have been able to do this project without you!
