I saw postings dating couple of years ago about Pancreatitis and vaping. Seems like this community has done its research. My brother, 47, was diagnosed with this 5 months ago, acute attack that revealed a chronic condition. He has led a pretty unhealthy lifestyle over the last few years as life has handed him more lemons than his ability to keep up making lemonade. No excuses for him, but trust me life has its own logic. He has cleaned up a bit, eats better, no analog smoking (finally!), no alcohol, started exercising and taking his recommended meds.

The doctor said no Smoking and no Alcohol. He has been vaping for 4 months with no adverse effects. The thing is he was never a alcoholic but 2-3 beers a night, and probably a few more on the weekend, kept him sane and he has been doing this forever.

He has been miserable without his release mechanism, and the damn anti depressants mess with you. He wants to start enjoying a few drinks a couple of times a week but doctor has said absolutely not as it will further damage his pancreas. Now, we came across this product Vaportini that essentially makes alcohol vapors that are inhaled. Someone we met has bad GERD and he uses it exclusively as he swears he enjoys the alcohol with no adverse effects. I tried it, my brother tried it. It is quiet interesting. You get the buzz, it just doesn't last long. Just 30-40 ml of spirit does the trick.

I am thinking that since this bypasses the digestive system, does it still mess with pancreas? Any other thoughts, suggestions?
